Description

Please do not enter if you already own more than Darksiders OR Darksiders II (without any DLC) or I will reroll if you win.
Wait! What is this? Another portal?
Please bump the thread

This is what happens after you step through the final Portal:
You find yourself back in the room where you started. You hear a voice but you can't make out any speakers.
"Through your hard work we managed to collect large amounts of crucial data. Thank you for your cooperation."
The lights shut off.

(Hm, not sure about that. Most fatalities in train accidents happen at the last wagon -- which is why scientists recommend to eliminate them all together.)

I tried to only notify those who can join but for time reasons didn't check who already owns it.

Ooops, I had a different ending in mind, after the preparations in the previous giveaways. :-) (The previous pieces of it, in order, are in the BattleBlock, Brothers, Witcher 2 and Deponia giveaways.)

On your dying day, when Death finally approaches you, he says: "Come, friend. Your time has come, and we must now go to the river Styx, where I will kick you in the groin and hold your head under the water and we'll do some waterboarding and other unpleasant stuff for all Eternity, because I like you not."
Well. That doesn't sound good. Being dead is one thing -- after all, you led a nice and full life -- but getting eternally kicked and beaten by Death is something you would rather like to avoid.
"Is there naught I can do to persuade you otherwise?" you ask Death.
"Naught."
Oh. Well, it was worth a try...
"Although..." the Death continues slowly, "...there is one thing. I give this riddle to all who pass away, and none have answered yet. It is a riddle that has stayed unanswered for eons, one that surpasses the bounds of mortal knowledge, one that has mystified wise men and women alike. If you happen to be the one to answer," he says solemnly, "I will let you go in peace."
"All... right... so, what is the riddle?"
"Listen now, and listen carefully," Death intones dramatically. "What does a pumpkin never do, when pushed--"
--the rest of the riddle is drowned out by your hysterical laughter.

I sit down and wait, prepared to jump to another timeline the second I die, if that's not a bluff of course. An hour passes by and I suddenly realize that while I know that I can jump from timeline to timeline, I still don't remember my name, which is wei.. - my thought got interrupted by a sudden explosion coming from inside of me. I'm somehow not surprised, almost as if it wasn't the first time a bomb burst in my chest. I come to a realization that I'm floating in a field of nothingness. I jump.

This time I wake up earlier. I get up and look for a reflective surface thinking that maybe a picture of my face would help me remember who I am. No luck, whole room is made of non-reflective glass, not a single tile is kind enough to show me my face. I open the box yet again, pick up the device and notice that the note is smaller this time around. I flip it around just to see "Told you you'd die..." written on the back of it. My mind goes blank for a second as I realize that the person who put me in here knows that I can travel through the 4th dimension. Without much of a thought I press the button yet again and helplessly enter the portal.

I arrive in a room that's probably ten times the size of the previous one but is stylized in the same way - non-reflective glass and bright white lights. There's an odd disk placed in the middle of it and a few pairs of doors spread across the walls. Shortly after my arrival eight more portals appear, each of them spewing out a single person. One of newly arrived really stands out. He's a young, blond-haired man, probably in his early 20's in a peculiar brown helmet with rectangular boxes on both sides of it. He opens the left one, takes out a snack and pops it in his mouth like nothing ever happened. I have no idea why but I feel like I met him before.
Not a second after that the disk in the middle of the room lights up, bringing up a hologram of a weird creature with even weirder voice.
"Ho-ho, finally, everyone has arrived!. Now, you are probably wondering why you're here and who is this strange creature talking to you. The former is really simple, you're here to play the Nonary Game: Portal Edition. It's a game of life and death and well.. portals. Why do you need to play it? Oh, it's simple too. You play and try to win to enter the final portal to escape or you... well... DIE. I think that's clear enough. As to who am I, well, I'm your friendly AI helper - Funyarinpa. Now, let me expl-..."
I suddenly feel as if I was struck by lightning. I remember... I remember who I am... my name is Junpei and I'm stuck playing Nonary Game yet again. Acceptance quickly replaces shock and fear as I sit down to listen to the rules of the game with a single goal in my mind - to play and win the Nonary Game: Portal Edition.

Might not make much sense if you haven't heard of Zero Escape since it's full of little hints and stuff. I highly recommend checking both games out. SGF has LPs of both 999 and VLR.

Not really necessary unless you want to ;) Hardly any stories use my ending. I should have put it marked as spoiler in the OP or made it more clear the ending is in the last GA. Otherwise people would have had to take the whole ride before starting to write. Plus if I let you guys write the whole story it's understandable you want to do your own endings. :D

Edit: Sorry I was writing from my phone yesterday. I did not notice you had already changed it to connect to my ending. ;)
