How come I never get these kind of deals? I have previously been subscribed to Monthly on two different occasions and are subscribed to their newsletter.

Maybe you use Pause-a-Month?

Nope. The only thing that I can think of is the fact that I stopped my Monthly using my PayPal and not through them, and they complained about my payment option not being valid or whatever, but I highly doubt it, I guess it's just unluckiness.

I got this one instead:

"Don't miss this exclusive offer! When you purchase three months of Humble Monthly you'll get $15 in Humble Store credit."

I think you got the better offer. But ... are they getting even more desperate now?

Edit: Lol. "Sorry we didn't mean it."

Earlier this morning we accidentally emailed you about a promotion with the subject line 'Get $15 in Store credit FREE when you subscribe to Humble Monthly'.
Unfortunately you are not currently eligible for this promotion. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused by this mistake.

(And why am I not eligible? I'm not a current multi-month subscriber.)

Seems like everyone got those emails, so I guess they canceled for whatever reason (for both offers).

Got the same offer about 2 hours ago followed by sorry we've made a mistake just now. Seems someone has not had his coffee today.

Same, a shame that long time customers always get the stick and never the carrot.

Well luckily we only felt the pain of a empty wallet once instead of every month :). But seriously you are right! only 1 week after I bought my subscription all the fancy promotions started grrrr.

my next annual paying time should be on 25th november and this is why i declined my annual subs. Loyal active subs dont get anything, while those who buying then cancel right away each months gets free month etc such offers which makes annual price expensive compared what other pays and no such free games offers. And this is what i wrote down in the field where they asked why do i cancel...

I got 3 months offer for Kingdom Come.
Is Kingdom Come steam key?

Kingdom Come: Deliverance was in a recent GOG pack and now is being given for free by Humble with 3 Monthly Packs. I sense it's gonna be bundled soon enough in regular bundles so I think it's not a big deal if one gets the offer or not.

Still their promotions tend to annoy loyal subscribers and actually support the very traders they seem to be fighting against because those traders proved to have plenty of accounts that are likely to receive such offers.

I wouldn't say "free".
They released some dlcs so maybe that's the reason, they just want to sell those dlcs :p

Well, you're still paying $35 so it's not really free after all but it's advertised as free. Let's just call it a bonus for paying for 3 Months up front. If you cancel after a month you usually get a $3 less offer. For 3 months that means the KC:D is about $9.

It is? DAMN! Now I wish I hadn't signed for 6 months a few weeks ago. Ah well. It is what it is.

Apparently all those who received that message also received same message as those who got "15$ with 3 months". It's an error and no one will receive any bonus upon buying those 3 months.

It's not an error. It's deliberate. They just sent it to more people than intended and they later backed out. They even have a disclaimer in the sent emails that says:

*Only customers who recieved this email directly are eligible. Purchase a three month Humble Monthly subscription to get Kingdom Come: Deliverance for free. Offer ends October 22 at 11:59pm PT. Current multi-month subscribers are not eligible.

I'm not a current multi-month subscriber, I'm on a month-by-month plan, but I still got the "Sorry we didn't mean it" mail after I got the first one.

Way to slap your loyal customers in the face, Humble. If only the new one didn't have Hollow Knight as an early unlock, I'd probably just finally cancel over this (after a year of many sub-par Humble support experiences). Maybe I still will. First time in a long time that I did not pay early ...

According to some, they'll honor their initial e-mail. Check if you got another e-mail where they're getting their word back once again and allowing you to get KC:D regardless, as long as you got the initial e-mail. I haven't got any offer thus far so I'm safe against being tempted :).

They also said that they'll only honor the inital e-mail if you jumped on the offer before you got the second e-mail, though, and I didn't.

And if their system doesn't do it automatically and I'll have to go through support, they'll tell me to go piss up a tree anyway -- because I traded my Overwatch key. They made it clear before that that means I'm not eligible for any considerations from them.

(To clarify: I got the 15$ wallet offer and then the retraction e-mail. My daughter (never subscribed, same payment method as me) got the KC:D offer a day later. Most likely I won't (try to) take advantage of either one, as I'm pretty sure it won't work and support will show me the middle finger like they did before. But man does it feel bad. Loyal subscriber since day one, here, even though I can barely afford it -- it's a huge chunk of my very small amount of disposable income / pocket money. Stupid FOMO.)

You could try to cancel your monthly to get the 9$ deal and do it three times in a row. In three months you'll save $9 to buy KC:D and I'm pretty sure it'll get bundled by then and you won't miss any monthlies either. Simple budget management and no FOMO ;)

With my luck, that wouldn't work either (not everybody gets the $3 off trying to cancel) ;) Certainly not three times in a row ..

I was thinking of trying that this month though, so we'll see :)

Well, in that case that's a nice punch in the balls. I'll use up my annual subscription and cancel this after. IGN knows how to destroy their reputation.

Yeah, I'm about to finalise that decision too. My yearly ended a month ago (I started that a couple days before the IGN announcement and a couple weeks before the 20$ wallet offers started), I would like Hollow Knight but I can wait for a rebundle.

Just trying to get over my FOMO and then I'll unsubscribe for good (been a subscriber since day one), I won't be swayed by "hey but we'll give you $3 off", and my reason when they ask will be "Too many fuck-ups. Give me KC:D and I'll come back." Doubt they'll read it anyway ;)
