It stays there. To be specific the promotion is that the game is free to obtain during the 24 hours. To put it another way you are buying it for 0 bucks for 24 hours where afterwards it will go back to normal price. Much the same as getting a free key and activating the game.

To have RO2 for those who already own Rising storm, you have to:
1: remove family sharing if it enabled
2: log off from steam and steam website
3: go to the ro2 page but don't click install
4: login into steam on web browser in another tab
5: click install
6: then it should work...
That's so stupid, in steam forum a devlopper just said to solve this problem create a new steam account... -_-'
I wont buy games from them anymore, they don't respect their custumers
