As some of you might know, I'm an admin for Coupon Dumpster. First things first, my opinions don't necessarily reflect those of the entire group. As such, I'll try to address your concerns the best I can.
I was made aware of your thread earlier today and decided to stop by and have a chat. I do apologize that you feel cheated in any way. It's certainly not our intention; however, as mentioned earlier by Shadow_Dragon_SM, we cannot allow someone to break the rules simply because they've made a donation. I can admit, the phrasing can be a bit more specific, but it is stated very, very clearly that coupons requested for alternate accounts are prohibited. No matter how it is phrased, the intention of Coupon Dumpster is very clear. You have to understand that while you will use the coupon on your alternate account, and therefore not breaking any rules, you may take away a chance from someone who might've wanted to play the game. I am in no way stating that this is truth. I am merely stating that if I had dealt with this request, I would've declined the request for this sole reason.
As stated by Biowizard earlier, the main concern was your behaviour. I understand things can be frustrating but for future reference, please just sit down and have a chat with us. There's no need for hostility.

That "for" can not refer, here, to the alt account ultimately receiving the game, no matter which account opens a thread and which account performs the store transaction.
That rules like this "for" sentence / paragraph should be investigated merely by playing funny games with their wording, as opposed to just looking at their teleology.

So much drama because someone got denied a second coupon for a $1 game. Clearly you're just here to troll if you constantly "refute the term alt for your alt account". Maybe you should have checked a dictionary for an explanation on what alt means and maybe you should have asked for clarifications when you first read the rules. Everything that was explained to you in this thread is so obvious that it's making me doubt you have... hmm what do you call it? OH! ... common sense. It's also rather baffling that you felt the need to make an account here to trash talk the group just because things didn't go your way. It only makes you look like a brat pulling a temper tantrum and it really destroys your credibility. I can't take you seriously whatsoever after reading your comments in this thread. I just found Coupon Dumpster, wish I had done before. I recently had 2 coupons that I couldn't give away to friends that I did not want (they have since expired). Anyway, I will be using the group/site from now on.
Searching for the website again after I forgot the URL brought me to this thread. I had to comment because not only am I grateful for finding Coupon Dumpster, but this thread has provided me with more than my daily does of LULZ. Thanks all ^_^

I don't know why but I had trade requests to give them coupons that would sit open for hours after I confirmed them on my phone.
I eventually just gave up and started hording coupons on an alt account until they expired. If they don't want to accept my coupons then bleh to them.

There tend to be 2-3 choices in http://steamcommunity.com/groups/coupondumpster/discussions/11/133255708299470215/ - pick the one you expect to be awake and available the soonest, if having a trade unaccepted somehow tilts you off your rocker.
(Unfortunately there's enough absurd or even malicious trade offers that human oversight is necessary before accepting them. Requesting the moderator receiving the coupon to 'perform' some action as 'payment' is only the tip of the iceberg.)

Once again, and if you read the rules or even this thread...
Most coupons do not stack with sales, making those coupons useless.
Secondly, in order to stop people from being greedy and taking all the -90% off coupons, they ask people to take just one to redeem on just their main account.
They do this for free, in their free time and do not use trade bots. They are real people with real lives giving up some of their precious time to spread coupon joy. I just do not understand why so many complain about some pretty simple rules. I love the group and the mods seem pretty nice and understanding as long as people do not sass back.

I get where you are coming from and yes it is nice that this sort of thing exists, and I understand the need to have a set of rules/guidelines to go by, but I must admit I have also found them to be too restrictive as well, to the point where I have to say that it feels kind of 'wrong' to be taking property that once belonged to other people and then imposing so many restrictions on it -- all of this for something that has no monetary value. Anyway, were all these restrictions the intention of those who donated the items to you in the first place? I kind of doubt it. The fact that this all free and everything does not absolve it (or anything else) of criticism, sorry.

Sorry, but I find each of every one of the few rules necessary.
Seems every week there are 3-4 card idlers coming to the group to get every coupon they can, including someone last week with his 5 accounts (claiming they were unrelated). He got caught because they were all friended together (he tried unfriending them, but archives say otherwise). If they didn't have rules against it, I'm pretty sure it would become like the recent GMG free games...where if you didn't check in every 5 minutes you are out of luck.
No editing posts came about because it is first come, first serve and some people tried editing their posts to make it appear they asked for a coupon earlier than they actually did.
I could go on, but those rules are what makes the group work, and it probably wouldn't exist if it didn't have them. It didn't take long for me to understand why each rule was necessary, as each has been put in place either to keep the coupon distribution orderly or to combat people exploiting the system, or both. Without those rules, I'm pretty sure there would be no point having a group and one might as well just throw out Trade URLs in a thread like the one here..
I'd venture a guess that those donating are people who want their coupons to go to main accounts and not card idlers, since if they didn't care they could always drop trade links anywhere and accept the first idler bot requests.
I look at this thread and the criticisms are weak. Complaints about not getting coupons that one cannot use (because they don't work with sales); complaints about not being able to get multiple coupons to idle cards; complaints that the group didn't accept a trade request in a few hours (people do have to work and otherwise have real lives)...maybe my opinion would be different if this thread contained anything that looked like valid criticisms other than "They didn't give me a coupon for my idler alt".

Mostly true (unless they fixed the issue), however there are some coupons sometimes that will stack with sales. Any that don't stack usually have an exclusion noted in the description.

Most coupons have the "Can't be applied with other discounts." notice rigth in their description. Those that do not have this notice will usually stack with sales.

I have two accounts on Steam and requested coupons in the Coupon Dumpster for each in order to buy the game twice. While they have this rule:
"Requesting Coupons for Alt-Accounts will get you BANNED!"
I requested the coupons through each account separately and intended to use the coupons on the accounts I requested them from. I did not request a coupon to use with a different alt account. When I asked them to point out the rule I broke, they just banned me. The fact I donated over 35 coupons to them recently was of no consequence to them.
Here's the explanation they give for the banning:
Reason 1. Requested coupons with main and alt account
Reason 2. Trying to be smart
Reason 3. Not reading the rules about profanity and insults "Do not give coupons to these guys. They are thieves, and make up rules as they go along."
1: I don't deny this, but at the time of this post, they have no specific rule against requesting a coupon from 2 accounts, only a rule against requesting a coupon for an alt account.
2: What? I guess they only want stupid people in their group?
3: Profanity? I made no such comments. As for being insulting, I'm sorry if the truth hurts, but they are nothing but thieves.
