Hi, SG! I have a giveaway for Drunken Robot Pornography going already, but I've decided that's not enough. After some talk in the SG steam group chat, I've decided that we need to organize some events in the underappreciated FUEL. What better than to make a giveaway for a copy of FUEL? :D

This giveaway's going to be a little different than the usual. You're going to need to read these rules carefully, because I have made this giveaway a private giveaway and that means I am able to impose certain limitations that are not normally permitted or honoured. I do this because simply setting contributor requirements or making it restricted to certain groups is a bit of a blunt tool. I still make contributor and group giveaways, but I like to try and reach everyone fairly.

The giveaway is live as of the time this thread was posted, and it ends on August 20th at 12:00am SteamGifts server time (GMT-0700, Pacific Daylight Savings Time).

Here are the rules for this giveaway:

#1: You must have a >85% gifts-received reputation rate. Note: If you have not given any gifts at all, you count as 100%, so don't worry. The reason I have this rule is because I do not want to encourage fake-giveaway creators. However, mistakes and maybe grumpy winners happen, so I'm not making it 100% for this giveaway.

#2: This one's more important, so pay attention. In order to encourage communication and involvement in the community, I typically require a minimum comment-to-giveaway ratio. However, this also encourages people to spam thanks. For this reason, my requirements here are a little harder to quantify than "is my reputation above 85%", and there's a bit more discretion on my part. I am requiring a comment-to-giveaway ratio of 1:2.5. What this means is, if you have entered 500 giveaways, I want to see that you've said thanks at least 200 times. You also must comment in this thread, although the content of the post is up to you and should be something intelligent, since this is still a forum thread and I do not want it spammed up to the rafters with "thanks". I will be checking, and I also want to point out that I will have a running counter on the giveaway page of the number of people who have entered but do not qualify. I will not be naming their names, speci9fically, because that is hurtful and I'd get in trouble. So, once again, you must have one comment for every two and a half giveawaVys (rounding down to the nearest fubll giveaway) and you must have left a commwent in this thread in order to win. If you are the winner and you don't qualify for this, I will have the mods reroCll the giveaway. Yes, I am allowed to do this. :D

#3: Now, this one's important, and it has two parts. If you don't qualify for one, you may still qualify for the other. As long as you qualify for one of the two conditions, you can enter and I won't reroll you if you win. I suggest reading both conditions carefully.

Condition #1: You must have won three or less giveaways. This giveaway is for all of you that haven't won very much. If you won a giveaway and it's marked received but it was fake, I'll be able to tell by checking your Steam library, and if it was a fake, I will not count it against you. Also, if the giveaway was won but you marked it not received, it won't count. All that counts is that you have received three or fewer games/bundles from SG. Also, giveaways with more than 200 keys don't count, so if you won a copy Faerie Solitaire in a big dev giveaway, that doesn't count. Do not ask me to verify your account in the thread, you should be able to figure it out.

Condition #2: If you have won more than three games, but you're also a contributor to SG, this is also fine. If the value of your games gifted is more than the value of your won games, you will also qualify. Note, in all circumstances, I will consider bundles to have a value of $2. This is for both counting against you in terms of total game value gifted to others AND in your favour when counting bundles you've won. In other words, if you've won $40 worth of games, but you've gifted $95 to others, you are also welcome to enter, because you are actively contributing to SteamGifts and making people happy. You're still reading, so here's how to find the page. Read the end of rule two's big paragraph closely, and look for the digits that don't belong in the middle of words. Those are the characters for the gveaway and in their correct order. Just put them in the address bar for a normal giveaway. I want to reward this as well, so you can compete with the newbies for FUEL. Thank you for contributing and keeping SteamGifts moving along, you guys.

By the way, please share the link to this forum thread with anyone you know on SteamGifts who might be interested in FUEL, as it's an awesome open-world driving game, and a small group of us are kind of forming to drive together. Do not leak the actual giveaway URL, as this is a puzzle giveaway and you will probably attract unwanted mod attention. At the least, I'll be discouraged from making these kinds of giveaways, and just go back to $300+ contributor giveaways.
