Well, because it will be more cheaper for some people to preorder it right now? You know, in my country currency always drooping to dollar and euro, and just few weeks ago it dropped again on 20%. 6 months later 30$ for me will probably be like 40-45$ now, or even more. This is the main reason why i usually preorder games that i want to play on release day.

You know, when people said "what I great idea, when enough people will preorder it will pay for itself when I sell bonuses".
You let kids play with matches, now have fun with fire.
Anyway, knowing life it will get to 100% one way or another (aka, Square Enix will just one day boost % to 100%), as no publisher would be stupid enough to not give those kind of pre-order bonuses.

I really dislike tiered preorders; Squeenix did this for Tomb Raider too. Normally I would say "let's just not preorder," but they are releasing the game early for people who preorder, so it's going to be all over the place with spoilers abound. I was looking forward to this game, but I'm not giving them a dime after this.

I love Deus Ex franchise, i have all Deus ex games. But becouse this "pre order bonus" i will not pay for this game.

Assuming you pay for it on Steam and not at one of the numerous and often cheaper resellers. (I'm talking about legit resellers, not G2A type grey/black market.)

When they said "the Ultimate Prize ....... released four days early!!" i had to laugh. If they dont use the Denurvo DRM or something like it this game will be pirated a lot earlier than four days.

My idea when i first saw "pre-order" was to never use it. Same with DLC thing, but i failed already with this one (bought 2 DLCs to Saints Row 4 and regreted it as not worth the money).

Entire practice of pre-ordering is unnecessary these days.
Once upon a time there was a risk that stores would actually run out of copies if it was really popular game or had low initial print so pre-ordering made sense to guarantee your copy and pick it up at launch. Nowadays when the entire industry got huge, not to mention with advent of digital games, there's really no reason to do it anymore and fact it's only perpetuated by holding parts of the existing game content hostage is just sickening. Don't get me started on head-start access for singleplayer games.

There's a great Unified Community Texture Pack that includes loads of graphics and technical patches like widescreen fix. I played the game originally on Xbox and then years later on PC with the Unified Pack, loved it both times!
