I'd probably use GOG if starting over now. I like the DRM-free, especially when games break or run like crap because of the DRM. I really only use steam because back in the day there was nowhere else to go for new PC games and now I keep using it because I don't want to split my games list. GOG only had those good old games and buying retail always gave steam keys.

I guess that's the story of most of us. Although I've heard Steam used to be more user-friendly back in the day – I don't know, I've started using it for real 2-3 years ago despite having an acc for 4 years. You can remember it though, you're on Steam for almost the decade now :)

Umm... would Humble count as "other"? I already have a huge DRM-free game library there, plus soundtracks and e-books. And I also got almost a hundred Android versions of some of the games. They do a pretty fine job at allowing what gets on their store as well unlike the shovelware infested Steam.
I stopped adding funds to Steam the moment they made those horrible cross-region gifting changes. Which is also the moment I created my GOG account, but I don't think I'll be using it. I'm mostly into indie games and Humble has most of the games I want.
