Leaderboards! It may not be a multiplayer game but it's still competitive. I beat the game, then got S ranks on every level and game mode. I got a few records here and there but mostly in pathfinder mode and those ones were all beaten. I also put a lot of time into Supercharge mode but was never able to score a single record. It took quite a few tries to get the achievement for beating the game without dying, even after playing for hundreds of hours :P

Sadly mine is Skyrim with 334 hours.
Not that I think it's a bad game but I believe pretty much every of the seven runner-ups deserves the top spot more than Skyrim does.
The runner-ups:
PAYDAY 2: 322 hours
Elite Dangerous: 292 hours
Fallout: New Vegas: 232 hours
Mount & Blade: With Fire and Sword: 203 hours
METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN: 193 hours
Hearts of Iron IV: 160 hours
Terraria: 154 hours
Obviously there is room for change though since I intend to keep playing Payday, Elite, HoI and Terraria, and lots of other games that I could sink a lot of time into, not to mention my backlog of about 500 games.
EDIT: Also, dont @ me, I haven't come around to playing Warband yet, ok? (Also, I rather enjoy the historical context of WFaS.)

Football manager series, total 3600+ hours I guess.
But that can't change the fact that I'm still a talentless player:(

Age of Empires online 600 hours... RIP
Next on the list is AOE II HD.

It did, but it died many years ago after they turned off the servers. It was free to play and I didn't have many other games so it became my go-to game for a long time.

Yeah, I think what I really liked about AOEO was also the loot system. Your units slowly became very customised as you found better loot. I didn't venture much into the Pvp arenas, but that system meant if a level was too hard to beat, you could come back and try again with some different gear. Made it a lot more 'addictive' than a normal RTS. But I am definitely a fan of the genre. Got the Command and conquer pack on origin.

PAYDAY 2 // 540 hrs
KWAAN // 365 hrs
i realy enjoyed Payday 2 till devs and pubs became shady... stoped playing then...
KWAAN was the most unique MMO i ever played or saw... it was completely community based without any fighting... :3

What's that game like?

Yeah, EU countries are blocked by Steam because the EU servers were shut down. I do have a Mabi friend who lives in Portugal, so you should be able to play it on the NA servers if you're interested in checking it out.
As far as what the game is like, the game and graphics is dated. But it's the gameplay design that has me hooked. I've been playing for about three years now, but in my experience it constantly receives new permanent content a couple times a year, tons of events that run simultaneously where you get lots of prizes (like outfits, pets, and other items that are usually sold online). Its the best AFK game ever! Hahaha... Anyhoo, it is free to play, but is considered P2W. Don't worry... most of those P2W items can be bought from other players with in-game gold - which is not hard to acquire. In addition, monthly subscriptions are optional and they don't offer any real perks at this point in time to justify paying for it.
For a lack of a better description, it is very... unique. It's a weird "fantasy" MMO developed in South Korea, but the world and central storyline is Celtic in origin. I have never played anything like it before or since, and still am unable to find any games that compare... although FFXIV might, in the sense you aren't limited to one class when you create a character.
Just an FYI, Vindictus is considered Mabi's prequel. Beautiful graphics, great storyline, but nowhere near as good.
Hope this helps.

Well RP might be a bit more complex, the simpler gamemodes like King of the Hill are pretty much like any shooter. In fact, when I play a Battlefield game or so these days I am overwhelmed by the amount of onscreen information I have to process. :P
