Are you excited about this?!
Thanks for the info, this actually interests me. One of the few games I had back on one of my first computers! <3

I'm guessing that there's no GOG (or Steam) release of Full Throttle due to silly music licensing issues, which means the re-master will have to have new music (and the original music was a large part of what made the game). And they probably have to re-voice without the great SAG cast, etc.

I'm fine with decent re-masters (they do happen now and then!), but I don't have high hopes for this one especially (due to the usual music licensing and potential re-voicing issues which would affect this game particularly badly).
Grim Fandango looks (at first glance, I haven't actually played it, nor the original yet) like a decent re-make - retaining the style of the original but actually making use of updated tech - but it doesn't have those issues to work around to the same extent.
I'd very gladly be proven wrong, though! I'm not just retro for the sake of it (not like those "modern" retro games where you can still see the pixels on purpose). The screenshot eeev posted below shows that at least the graphics for this one look good (true to the original wonderful style [EDIT: oops, Sandoukos says that's not from the remake]).

Classic adventure, I am going to play it again after so many years, excited as almost for the day of the tentacle remastered release :)

Weeeeeeeeeell, I guess after their (as I heard) bad DF 9, their so so Massive Chalice and the financial fiasco of the "announced as classical point'n'click title but came out as a kid's game" Broken Age they desperately need something that sells.
Not too excited. The game (Full Throttle) is good as it is. For Grim Fandago making a Remastered version was okay, because the controls really sucked, but apart from that not much changed. What exactly do they want to improve without ruining the spirit in Full Throttle?
Edit: Apparently they are redoing the graphics, found a screenshot:
