My most memorable moment in gaming was playing Postal 2.
See female cop. Unzip pants. Pee in face/hair. She starts puking. Pour gas all over, with fly still undone. Light match, throw, pull out shovel, decapitate while she is on fire running around puking and dripping with pee still. The head AND neck stump both still puke and flame. Push the 'kick' button to play flaming puking pee dripping cop head soccer.
Now THAT is interactivity.

Clive Barker's Undying, Duke Nukem 3D, Shadow Warrior (the MS-DOS one), Blood, Return to Castle Wolfenstein, Quake (all), Doom (all), Medal of Honor Allied Assault, SiN, Unreal 1 and 2

4 for the price of 1
Coming from the 90's, all being based on Wolfenstein 3D's engine one way or the other. So by today's standards, they'll be pretty ugly.
Gameplay does hold up reasonably well all these years later though.

Try Fallout series, Fallout 3 ran on my Pentium 4 and Nvidia 6200 lol so it will run on your system too. And a question, why don't you buy a video card? (well, a decent one) it will make a huge difference in your system and you will run any game you want, without problems. I've got a P4 and 1 GB RAM and ATI HD4650 and i can run any game (even on high settings), a exception is GTA 4 which i'm running on medium settings, and all this because i don't care about resolution heh :D

oh yeah Kingpin was fun at very least for soundtrack

I mean, there's so many good ones. DOOM, Wolf 3D, and don't forget IlluminASCII.

it's not really an FPS, it could be an FPS if you play as an archer though =)
it's a FULL METAL ACTION MOTHER DUCKING GAME, i just love that game, it's called Mount & blade, if you want to see if it works for you before buying the game, they have a demo version on their website, you can download that for free, and try to lower the settings to minimal, i think it should work for ye =)
And it's one hell of a single player game, you can spend so much time on it, and even if you restart it many times, it's never the same story ! it has a multiplayer too btw =), good luck with your quest for ze game ! but if you ask me i'd ceep my little bucks and keep them patiently until they grow to the point where i can get a new PC :p

I checked your profile to see the games you've played.
That's all I can remember right now, and if you like Half-Life 2/EP1/EP2, you might want to try Synergy, a HL2/EP1/EP2/custom co-op mod.

I thought it's easy to run on lowres but since you can't even launch it, I don't know how you can change the resolution xD
Maybe you can change it from the launch options by adding -width 800 -height 600, not sure though, you already uninstalled it anyway :D
The other games I suggested are also good, be sure to try them out ;)

ArmA: Cold War Assault. It is renamed Operation Flashpoint, now tweaked to run on the newest OS and it contains the Resistance datadisc. Put some cool mod into it (like FFUR) and play the campaign or some user created missions ("When the world ends" for example).
Some cool mods to try:
CSLA 2 - contains Czechoslovak army from the years of the USSR + modern Czech army. It has awesome campaign and lot of single missions to play
Finnish Defense Forces (FDF) - Same as a CSLA 2. Modern Finnish army with custom voiceover, campaign and missions. You can get a WW2 package which is about Finland-Soviet war complete with all historical units, weapons and vehicles.
Invasion 1944 - WW2 mod, the western Europe theatre (US vs Nazis)
Warhammer 40k mod - this is a partial port of the Dawn of War units with original created content. It has pretty decent melee system (in the borders of the OFP engine), various playable races like Space Marines, Imperial Guard, Sisters of Battle, Tau, Eldars, Dark Eldars or Tau

+1 I played the demo mid 2001 when it was in development and been hooked since. Got a new GPU for A3/DayZ and now find my CPU needs an upgrade...

I have a Pentium 4 3Ghz and 1GB RAM, with a Geforce 6200. I belive that if I can run a game, EVERYONE can.. lol
Some single player campaigns I really enjoyed:
COD4 Modern Warfare 1 and 2 (both are really well programmed, runs smoothly even on medium settings, and I love the over the top action-movie-style story)
Doom 3 (Nice game, cool graphics even on low)
Prey (nice story, nice inovative gameplay, same engine as Doom 3)
Call of Cthullu: Dark Corners of the Earth (great horror story and atmosphere, I ran it on low, great graphics but it's kinda buggy sometimes)

Have you played Half Life? One of the best games ever, in my opinion!
It's also a predecessor to....HALF LIFE 3!!!

Lol...skipped straight to the end! I wondered how no one suggested it in the entire thread.....guess that explains it! XD

if you want good stories play PNC adventures from early 90s

I love how you sneaked in Deus Ex a second time, although I won't recommend it as a shooter.
But I cannot leave such a great list without adding Descent to it, regardless of the number you might slap on it. DX-Rebirth and DX-XL are great ports to play the first two games on modern hardware if you have access to the data files of the original games.

Title says most of what I want. It doesn't have to be a Steam game.
I'd prefer a game that has great singleplayer gameplay and story (I love story games), but I won't mind multiplayer.
It'd be nice if it was free-to-play, but if it's cheap (i.e. less than 2 bucks), I can also go for paid games.
But it can be a not-so-cheap game as long as it's singleplayer-only, because...well...ahoy, matey! (I'm such a scumbag)
CPU: Pentium Dual Core E6600 @ 3.06 GHz
RAM: 3 GB DDR3
Graphics: Intel G41 Express Chipset graphics.
Whoever recommends me the game that I like the most will get a private giveaway of the next Humble Bundle that he/she wants (non-BTA/BT6).
Some low-end FPS that I have played (all on lowest graphics settings):
Half-Life (have all the HL games, but have only played the first one so far),
Counter-Strike series (except GO. Can't run that),
COD 1 and 2 (not UO yet),
Battlefield 1942 and BF2,
Garry's Mod,
Combat Arms,
A.V.A. (so laggy though)
Please note that my graphics is especially bad at rendering particles.
My framerate even drops down to less than 10 on Half Life when I'm looking at smoke/fire.
And I suffer from FOV sickness, so an FOV slider would be nice :P
EDIT 1: Thanks for all the suggestions :D
I didn't expect so many!
Since it'll take me too long to try them all and pick out a favorite, I'll just post the private giveaway links for the NEXT weekly Humble Bundle here so that everyone who visits this thread can enter it ^.^
EDIT 2: So far I've tried COD UO and will soon be trying the older Medal of Honor :P Anyway, here are the private giveaways.
