anybody fed up with EA? all games are crap and have DLCs same price as base game, which add content removed from base game. EA is the major contributor to the existence of piracy

This might not be a popular view here, but I think EA has been getting better in the last year or so. Larry Probst became the CEO of EA in 2013, and I really think the company has made a big turn around. I prefer to have my games collection on Steam, but some games are exclusive to Origin, and I've found Origin support to be far better than Steam support. And Origin works pretty well, especially compared to Steam in its infancy.

coulda swore andrew wilson is the current CEO of EA... and I couldnt stand the guy when he was doing talking during E3 last year. it was constantly "buzzword buzzword, we care for our gamers, buzzword buzzword." I'd call the guy a lying sack of shit.. but yea...

You are correct. Larry Probst is now Chairman of the Board, not the CEO. I still stand by what I said, though: I think EA, as a company, has been doing more to earn my dollar than some other AAA studios that have been dropping the ball lately.

Activision is much worse: Overcharges for the same content year after year, over and over and over... (>_<)
At least, EA do some good deals from time to time.

I generally agree with this. Activision shit the bed far more often than EA.

Step 1. Wait until the game you want is on sale for >$10. Hopefully with all the DLC included.
Step 2. If all the DLC isn't included play the game first before deciding if you want to spend more money on more of the same game.
Step 3. Enjoy.

I love EA.
I've saved so much money since they stopped offering their games on Steam.

I can't hate on all EA games. I generally like their sports titles. I enjoy FIFA and put hundreds of hours into it year to year. I like that its a yearly franchise, but I would also be perfectly fine if they did them bi-annually and just released a big "update pack" in the off year to get the up-to-date kits and crap like that. Mods are there, but they dont always cut the mustard so to speak. What I really wish EA would do is go all in and release their other sports games on PC again, I especially want a return of the NHL series. As a committed PC gamer with no console and no desire to own a console again anytime soon, its literally the only franchise I miss.

It also cannot be denied that their studios sometimes release some killer games/franchises or at the least they buy exclusives. Dragon Age, Crysis, Star Wars Battlefront looks like it could be a gem (I generally prefer BF to COD). While I can understand the animosity towards the monstrosity, EA does produce some quality.
