Witcher. Gerhalt is the only guy I know of that can F$%& anything that walks, and get away with it, because he's Sterile, and Immune to all Disease.

If not some visual novel where everyone gets to fall in love and have happy endings, then probably pokemon. Sure it'd suck to endure random beatings from brats and their attack beasts, but sapient pets! Screw that entire battle training thing, I would catch pokemon just to hug the everloving crap out of them. Wobbuffet would be the best drinking buddy.

All worlds are scary unless you're the main character. If I had to choose, I would pick Uncharted, because the world seems to be fairly close to our would. The general population isn't set to die...and in fact, only the main characters have it rough. Except judging by that newspaper in Uncharted 3 easter egg, Uncharted universe = Last of us universe
