storyline:

You are a child from a tribe that no longer exists. everyone in your tribe was slaughtered because they were afraid of the power they possessed. So the king sent his whole army to kill every last person of the tribe. However one family did no longer live there as they were exiled. They had a child, you the protoganist. One day the army finds out that this family survived... and they come in and slaughter the family, or so they think. A blacksmith & friend of the family passes by later that day to deliver some spears and arrows for hunting and notices the dead family, save for the son who's heavily injured but still alive, he takes him to his home and raises him as his son. Years later, a small regiment of troops comes to the blacksmith's house and take his daughter, while killing the blacksmith in the process. The blacksmith was part of a tribe that are the only ones capable of handling a certain type of ore. The blacksmith already escaped the king's grasp and was off the grid, but someone in the town that he lived in told on him. This action causes you to start seeking vengeance on the king.

The story will guide you through various missions, meetings with other tribes, starting to unlock the power you have as one of the special tribe and ultimately saving the blacksmith's daugher... You'll also learn a lot of lore of the world.

As for this story... it's partially written down in book form already. But i was always thinking that it would be nice to make it a game. I'd use one big questline and then some smaller questlines that you can do if you want to learn more of the lore (since there is a LOT of lore)

A group of youngsters discover that all around the world there are small pocket dimensions. and during their first travels in one they discover an ancient sword and many strange books. The nerdy youngster finds information that talks about 11 other swords in different locations. And during their travels they encounter a rival group that also tries to find al the blades.

Each pocket dimension will have a theme. This theme will influence the abilities of the blade, the inhabitants of the dimension and the nature of the puzzles inside the dimension.

I'm willing to tell more about it but since i'm also writing a series of short stories about it so I don't want to make too much of it public. I already have the plotlines completely worked out and an willing to send these to the OP-er by email if he wants :-)

If possible in RPG maker I'd love to turn it into a tactical RPG in the genre of Disgaea

and yes it will include emotional struggles (father and son issues and love issues) as well

What I like to do is Recreate stuff, I make tons of minecraft skins of anything I can think of, especially star wars stuff. I would like to see Kotor rendered in 2d, probably impossible, maybe not - worth a whorl? I'd say so.

It would be a laugh anyway, and I know the game inside and out, upside down and backwards, Maybe just maybe I could do it.

I'd create an RPG about a Demon King. He'd have everything that he could possibly want. However, he's extremely bored. For this reason, he decides to be reborn in the distant future. The game would pretty much be about the young Demon Lord regaining his power and amassing support so that he could take over the world. I'd like to make it have multiple endings that would change depending on which flags you trigger. It just seems like it would be a fun game to make.

First bump, but I would like to present you my idea. I don't know how that RPG maker works, but I have seen some one-person made 2d RPGs. They do look cool and I suppose you can create very interesting stuff with it.
So I have always liked medieval fantasy stories like LOTR or so. So I would create a game that has different races starting from Humans, to even nightmare beings. They all would have their unique personalities and objectives in the world. You could choose to play one of the races and your game objective would be to fulfill your race's objective. Or you could be a tryrant and do everything to not fulfill it, so you become a traitor and perhaps find a new destiny?
