I'm joking ofc,but seriously why so many EWWWWWW? things ? win10 is so much better than win7 and win8,you only need to turn off the stupid things sending off your information and done.

Can't bring my self to get windows 10 because I don't like forced updates that you have no control over and windows 7 lets me remove and add updates as I wish but on win10 home editions you don't have that option all updates are forced on you no matter what unless you stay offline.

Yes, there is. But the principle is the same. Steam auto forces things, and I think Windows should too for certain things. Security patches should be auto forced, it's there for a good reason.
Besides, if you put the connection into metered mode, it won't do things like auto updating.

I've got it on my laptop that I use for school (I'm studying software engineering, so I use it a lot) and so far I'm happy with it. Most programs seem to load faster and I haven't found anything problematic yet. I've not tried it on my gaming pc just yet, as windows 8.1 works fine for now. The games I have on my laptop seem to work just fine, I even get a (slight) performance increase.
So if you are happy with what you have now, stick with it just a bit longer, but I do recommend upgrading it eventually.

Haven't updated yet (from 8.1), not sure I will.
I think I'd like to have it on my desktop pc, but I definitely don't like the forced-updates policy. They mean that at any time MS could push an update on a Win10 system introducing desktop ads, turning embedded features into pay-for apps, or even making the operating system itself a service with a yearly subscription (it did so with Office) and whatnot. Accepting the OS T&Cs equals to tell MS: yeah, do whatever you want with my pc. Regardless of what they'll ever do, I can't stand the idea.
I can see maybe GNU/Linux becoming my pc's main OS at some point, and Win the 'spare' one that I'll only use for a bunch of games. Or I'll just stick to 8.1, which I don't particularly like.

No, you only have 30 days to use the rollback function (moving back to the old system without need of reinstall). Your license for the original system remains unaffected. The only thing is that you can't have installed both at once. And even though the W10 license is told to be unmovable (tied to motherboard), I heard, that if your original license is movable, MS support will allow you to activate it on an other computer than the one you originally made the first upgrade on.
edit: I don't want to say you should upgrade immediately, since the system is far from perfect, but at least before the free offer ends. New license isn't cheap and older systems will lose support sooner or later.

I had it installed and just now reverted back to windows 7. Boot time on windows 10 was like 3-5min as opposed to 30 seconds on win7. Also, the system services took up 100% disk usage almost at all times. I read and followed the instructions on about two dozens of solutions and fixes I found online in sites like PC World, etc, but nothing ever worked. Not going back to windows 10 anytime soon, that's for sure.
