Best desktop music app for Windows + Android/iPod sync?

My iTunes library recently got screwed over because of a random glitch, and I think it's time for me to move on to something else (RIP iTunes 10.7.0.21).

I've read at least 20 different articles/surveys that thoroughly analyze some of the best and well-known desktop music players for Windows, but they all have different opinions on what is best of the best.

Since I don't really think there is one specific "best" program, I want to know what you guys use most of the time. I recently got an Android, so I'd like it if it features an easy Android sync option, but I am not yet ready to ditch my iPod Nano, so it should also have an iPod sync option.

I sync my Nexus with my media server running Plex. Everything is automated, from downloading the lastest tv episode, updating the library, and syncing with all devices in the house. I love it.
