I think I got my playtime out of Terraria and Natural Selection 2, they are the only ones I bought full price.

Games I regret? Nah, well, maybe Nuclear Dawn. Wasn't as detailed and exciting as I'd hoped.

Last one was Guild Wars 2 (I believe it's worth it, since I can always go back to it...just that I haven't actually gone back in awhile yet). Since then, I've decided even if a game is really good, I can wait and pay less.

Super Smash Bros Brawl, Super Mario Galaxy 2, Metroid Prime Trilogy(this one still costs as much as it did), Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword Limited Edition(this one has got more expensive, so obviously it was worth buying it at normal price). I think all of them were worth full price, even though I didn't have time to finish some of them yet. Also, I'm mad I didn't get limited edition of Last Story while it was cheaper :C

I've pretty much stopped buying new games now, getting mainly used ones. Probably because I only buy old console games for GBA, GBC, GB, SNES and N64 lately.

Killing Floor pre-order, Penny Arcade 3 and 4, X3 : Reunion pre-order, X3: Terran Conflict pre-order, Torchlight 2 pre-order. All worth their prices.
The only pre-ordered game I regret is Loki, and only because support for it dropped soon and each patch brought more problems than it corrected.

Honestly World of Warcraft, which I haven't played in years, was well worth the full price I paid for it. I logged many many hours in that game.

The only ones I can think of are Guild Wars: Nightfall, GW: EOTN and GW2. Everything else has been either on sale, or was an old game. I think they were worth it, I've put an immense amount into the original GW and its expansions, and although I don't enjoy GW2 as much, it's still seen plenty of play time.

There are several games which if I had known what they were look, I would have happily paid full price for. It's sometimes tough to tell if I'll like it or not, so I usually wait things out until there's a price drop from its launch price, or a sale.

The worth:

  • Portal 2
  • Bioshock Infinite (even if 30€ for this + Civ V + XCOM is hardly "full price")
  • Don't Starve (grabbed the 2x1 offer while in beta)
  • The binding of Isaac (bought separately the game and the expansion, not regretting a single cent of it and my 400+ hours can prove it)
  • Rogue Legacy (it's suddenly becoming my new obsession)

Less worth:

  • Darksiders II (mostly because after a couple of months they were throwing away copies everywhere at heavily discounted prices)

Somewhat disappointed:

  • Quantum Conundrum (nice game but after finishing the main story I have no intention of playing it again)

I rarely buy games at full price nowadays, I did buy Skyrim and Borderlands 2 as they came out (got them from a webshop about 30% cheaper than steam though) and thoroughly enjoyed both. Both games have many many hours of content that warrant the price tag, to me at least.

I never buy Steam games at full price. Sometimes I feel tempted for preorder bonuses, but my backlog and my wallet say is better to wait for a 75% discount.

  • Guild Wars 1 (this game had the best pvp modes in my opinion)
