I have a 460 and Q6600....wait what, first time I only hit min.

Well, The xbox 360 can run it. I'm getting it anyway for PC.

How so? The entire game is made on pc architecture. Probably with pc systems as base and then ported to consoles. This IS next gen games, expect a big jump in requirements the next year. The only reason most games for the last year has had the same low req, is because most are designed for the old consoles.

New ones ? WD is coming on ps360 too so are most of "next gen" games... And why can't we compare ? The consoles will just be flat PC with a Sony or Microsoft logo on it, nothing else. And we see it with the exclusive games, nothing impressive after Crysis 3 or BF3 on PC.

The Disrupt engine made specifically for Watch Dogs is made for next gen primarily, which means it is optimized for pc architecture. But it's made to scale down to old consoles.
However until we actually get the game, we can only speculate as to it's efficiency.

all? ever heard of the game called far cry 3 and splinter cell blacklist? may I also add call of juarez gunslinger. I heard it's running smoothly on my 7870x2 setup. Oh I also heard that they're released just recently.
Apparently AC3 is considered "all ubisoft games"
Comment has been collapsed.
Its pretty obvious you haven't played many of them, honestly I have nothing against Ubisoft, they make decent PC games, never had an issue.

I bought a lot of Ubi games (all AC and Splinter Cell except the last ones, enough is enough). AC3 is not so bad but could be much better, it has nothing special that could eat so much power. Conviction still runs like shit today (I never finished it, can't play at 20-30fps) when Crysis 3 on the same comp runs smoothly at 1080p & 50-60fps on high. Blacklist is a bit better but it has the same bug as Double Agent and Conviction : sudden fps drop when you look on some walls. FC3, must be on low & 1680x1050 to have a steady 60fps, remember how well Crysis 3 runs ? Future Soldier ran like crap for few weeks before the patches and new drivers fixed it but the game is boring so no big deal, I want the same "fixing" on the Ubi's interesting games...
If you think Ubi makes decent PC games, what are Capcom's games ? The 8th wonder ? What about Tomb Raider (runs 60fps with occasional drops at 55fps on high 2560x1440, that's what I call "optimization") ?

the core requirement is pretty much the only thing really holding my rig back from handling it

eh... my laptop has the ultra spec equivalents so im fairly sure my desktop computer will hold out just fine...

Mine was almost that much (Asus ROG G75 from 2012), but I think it more matches a "medium" (not mentioned in specs sheet of course) setting than Ultra.

mine is a metabox P151EM1 and for its price its a little ridiculous...
GTX 670 3.5GB GDDR5
16GB DDR3 RAM @1600Mhz
Quad Core Ivybridge i7-3630 (originally @3.4GHz, overclocked to 4.6Ghz)
120GB SSD (not the drive i originally wanted but it came as a free upgrade so i ended up saying "why not")
320GB 7200rpm HDD slave drive
edit: downside being it weighs about 6kg without a carry bag or external components so it took a while to get used to carrying it around

not gonna lie, its a little sad that you feel the need to fill the void left in your ego from having a tiny dick...
now that i got my dumb comment for the day out of the way its time for the serious part: its a little sad you can't at least ignore what other people post instead of creating a rude, ignorant remark like that. I don't know what it is about people like you who can't even consider the fact "hey, its alright for people to like things i don't" but i'm guessing someone didn't give you enough attention at a critical stage in your life... and if you even think about saying "can't take a joke" you are an unbelievable idiot who doesn't understand that text has no emotion in it, in which case you should probably go back to school and start over...

320GB (important part) slave drive, you have to + 120GB for main drive , +4TB on my desktop (which is better than my laptop), + 1TB portable hard drive, oh and you can multi-boot if you partition...

I got mine right after release, the Best Buy model - around $1200 iir, then I added an SSD to it.

If that list is similar to other upcoming titles for the next gen I will be satisfied enough I guess. I have a 2012 gaming laptop and will probably be able to run games around a "medium" setting I think based on this one game. Hopefully games are designed to take advantage of greater RAM despite the consoles only having 8gb. I have 8GB now, and other than o/c my system, it's the only thing I can increase. One of the main drawbacks of a gaming laptop, but I still like it.

Well, what most people seem to forget(and also whoever made that system requirements list) is that at the moment Intel doesent even have an 8 core CPU(all i7 processors are quad core and 6 core), they will relese their first one(Haswell-E) in late 2014.

I think I can play it on Ultra with my i7 3770k and Geforce GTX670 OC :D

nothing really fail about this imo, ive been waiting for something to test my damn computer with. technology has been getting ridiculous every year so i'm glad to see someone try and keep up and push forward with pc games, specially with ps4 and xbox one on the way with similar specs
Comment has been collapsed.
These are the guys who are killing PC gaming imo. They lazily port the game from console with unoptimized codes for PC, and ask for minimum 8 cores to run it. Not everybody who loves PC for gaming has money stuck up their ass to upgrade our components...
Comment has been collapsed.
PC gaming was never dead to begin with.
WatchDogs is not a port.
They ask for a C2Q to run it, your argument is invalid.
