I dunno. Reminds me most of Lands of Lore 2 or 3, or Wizardry 8. But the bits of Ui shown don't match up with any of those at all.

Yep. I could be picky and say it should be MGS integral, or VR missions, or PC port, but I won't.
Comment has been collapsed.
Oh it's from the VR Missions of course, I thought that was obvious :) Plus, the PC version is the only version I played, so that was also a given for me :D
I'm busy atm, so I relinquish my turn this round. Please feel free to post the next image.

Call of Duty Black Ops 2
If I'm not mistaken it's the 'Fallen Angel' mission.

I had no idea there was a Vampire Hunter D game! XD Enjoyed the light novels/second movie myself (first movie was pretty bad, LMHO). Was the game any good?
Comment has been collapsed.
A far as I remember, it's a pretty decent survival horror (for its time, of course) which captures the atmosphere of the series quite well. There are some gameplay problems typical for an old Alone in the Dark clones (wonky controls, sluggish combat, confusing camera), but overall it's worth playing, especially if you are Vampire Hunter D fan.

That's great to know! I was expecting you to say it was utter garbage based off what a lot of PSX games were like when based on anime, but if it's good for fans, I'll have to look for it. =3 Thanks!

Nope. By the way when is it time to start adding extra hints? :D
Well at the very least you are looking at the right country.

By the way when is it time to start adding extra hints? :D
Feel free to add hints whenever you think it's appropriate. :)
The only rule is if there is no response/activity after a 24 hour period then the turn might be skipped and others are open to post a new screenshot.

Added some hints because the the second picture didn't do the trick it seems.

This game is related to Melty Blood but is not Melty Blood.
I'll add one more image.

Yes! I guess I was being too evil with the first 2 pictures.

Sadly, I haven't gotten to play it yet, but I am familiar with the game. Big fan of Fate/stay night, Fate/Zero, and Fate/Extra, so I'll get there at some point. All I know is Saber Lily originated from there and Kotomine has a rockin' theme. XP
All righty, best get something and alter it for posting...

I actually tried to obscure this one, so I hope it worked. I think anyone who has played it will find this has something iconic enough to remember, but if not, I'll add some hints.
Hint One: It is a point-and-click horror game that is not on Steam.
Hint Two: Your playable character has a visible life bar. There are no enemies, but several traps can hurt and kill your character.
Hint Three: It was made for Nintendo DS.
Comment has been collapsed.
It is not any Broken Sword game, but that is a good observation! Your genre intuitions are at least on the right track.

I know I know it but at the moment nothing comes to mind...so in lazyness I'll just guess The Dark Eye - Memoria and then kick myself later

Hmm ok final random guess then before I head off to bed myself: Ceville
Comment has been collapsed.
Nope! Check back when you return for some help. =)
Comment has been collapsed.
Well then I guess I don't know it XD. Horror isn't my scene so it eliminates all the Point and Clicks that I know.
Comment has been collapsed.
It usually isn't mine either. But there are exceptions, and this happened to be one of them!
Comment has been collapsed.
Nothing related to Indiana Jones, but I know which ones you mean. =)
Comment has been collapsed.
Nope. It's not ancient, but it's not particularly new, either. I'll drop a hint before I go to bed if nobody's gotten it by then.
Comment has been collapsed.
Added first hint. If nobody gets it by tomorrow, I'll add another one.
Comment has been collapsed.
Nope, not Silent Hill. I wouldn't actually call Silent Hill a point-and-click, though it doesn't hurt to guess. =P

Added a second hint. I will add a third tonight if it still hasn't been guessed, and then I will give a full screenshot if that doesn't do the trick.

I thought this game was about screenshots and not tiny screenshot cut-outs.
Comment has been collapsed.
I saw several other posts that had similar cut-outs, so I thought that was fair game for helping obscure it from image searchers. If not, my apologies for misunderstanding how it works.
Comment has been collapsed.
I figured that would be enough visual info for someone who played the game. Anyhow, I'll give the original tomorrow morning, though I'm guessing it will probably be searched up. So it goes.
Comment has been collapsed.
Nope. Never actually heard of those games, I'll have to check them out.
Comment has been collapsed.
Cool! I'm glad to hear that you had fun with it! =) Besides Theresia, I've enjoyed The Cat Lady, Downfall, Decay - The Mare, and I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream. Usually I'm not much of a horror gamer, but those ones were pretty great. Do you have any recommendations?
Comment has been collapsed.
Some of those mentioned I also played. Cat Lady and I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream wre indeed very enjoyable. Decay is still slumbering in my steam library.
For recommendations...the both Last Door seasons were amazing games with an interesting story and, despite the simple graphics, great atmosphere.
Another one would be Darkness Within wich is not a point and click adventure in the classic way but pretty near that. Judging by videos it seems to be similar to Decay gameplaywise. But know that it's very, very text intense. You gotta like reading for this one.
And since you seem to own a DS I'd highly recommend Nanashi no Gemu, also known as Nameless game. Also no point and clickbut a very unique gaming experience. Story is about a cursed video game. Unfortunately it never left japan but there's a fan translated version out there and they did a good job.

The Cat Lady is one of my favorite games ever. Downfall is made by the same developer. I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream is pretty brilliant. As for Decay, I do recommend playing it, but hold your judgment on it until completing it. It seems pretty nonsensical at first, but by the end, it ties together quite nicely.
I didn't know Last Door was a horror game! I've got both, so that should be interesting. Since I love visual novels and the like, Darkness Within should be fine; I have both of them as well.
I have never heard of Nanashi no Gemu. Definitely going to check that out! Thanks for the recommendations! =D

Interesting point, and one I actually didn't consider when I picked it! I can see why that would be a curveball. XD

I'm sorry that it turned out to be so difficult! If I'm up again in the future, I'll give a much easier one to make up for it.
Comment has been collapsed.
Yes, that's correct! I was wondering if anyone here had ever heard of it. It's an interesting game, and last time I checked, not very expensive. Give it a look if you're into that sort of thing!
Comment has been collapsed.
Heard of it, yes. As mentioned I'm a fan of horror games, also I own a DS and since there's not too many horror games for it out there I stumbled about it once and found it look interesting. Haven't had the chance to try it yet though but I'm planning to do some day. =)

Sounds good! I found it to be quite interesting. That being said, prepare for your protagonist to do at least one truly idiotic thing if you don't have the right item for it (and if you have common sense going for you, you won't think an item is needed for it). XD
Comment has been collapsed.
Yeah, I finally found it too. Last hint really helped here, because there aren't that many horror games for Nintendo DS ;-)
But danbu was faster, so congrats!
Comment has been collapsed.
I hoped it would help! I figured I'd go from smallest to largest in terms of how helpful the hints would be, so at least I seemed to get that right. =) Good job on your search!
I've given you and danbu a whitelist, so it's not in vain. =P

It's the "puzzle solved" animation from Professor Layton, so that should mean it's my turn. I just need a few minutes to dig something up.

Grey Goo? (cutscene since it obviously doesn't look like the main game)

Black Mesa ?
(It looks somewhat Xen-ish, but far too good to be good old Half-life 1)

Judging by that clip, I'll take it you meant to reply to me :)

EDIT: Added more images.
Hint: Not available on Steam.
Hmm, didn't think this would be so tough :/
More hints: PSP game. Never released an official English localisation, but a fan translation instead (admittedly, I didn't know this until I researched further... I thought it had received an official US/EU release :s)
