Tales of Destruction.
I should stop watching video rants about how steam's shovelware problems get bigger by the month

Sorry, Vecchia - it's 24 hours since Nanabanana has confirmed your guess, so I would take the reins and post a new screenshot (don't worry - this one is super easy).
Oh, I almost forgot! I've made this little bundled giveaway for all of You - guessers and lurkers.

I have absolutely no clue but I need a guess on this page so...Tribes (the original one)?
Comment has been collapsed.
Ah, one of my favorite Monolith games that got stuck in Publishing Hell. And one of the few that I don't have a physcal copy of :(
So many good good games got caught in the clusterfuck that happened when Fox Interactive was sold to Vivendi. And later on getting folded into the Activision brand. Who then in an act of open revolt bought themselves out from under their corporate overlords. Somewhere along that timeline, someone managed to actually lose the formal proofs of ownership which makes claiming the rights an absolute nightmare..

Yay!!! Finally my turn again.
Time for me to also be a bit tricksy with a cropped image
Hmm, perhaps time for a clue, but I still don't quite want to give it away so the first clue should only mean something for people that have played this game a fair bit.
Clue 1: A little while after this there is a tunnel which emerges to a T-crossing with a petrol station.
Clue 2: This is the dev's first game in the series, but it is not the dev's first game nor the first in the series.
Clue 3: For this game the publisher changed the dev from one whose name could be likened to a rectangular coloured object to one whose name could be likened to one of the requirements in a list of them (requirements).
AND LagiNatoRRR got it.
Everyone else go play this game more NAO!!!
Comment has been collapsed.
Colder again. Well actually I'm not sure whether it's colder as I unfortunately never played PGR, but I think TDU2 was closer.
Hint added.
Comment has been collapsed.
No. More than one brand in this, though there are some glaring omissions.
Comment has been collapsed.
Wow. I know people were complaining about a bad looking world/poor textures when the game released but I never thought it would be enough to have it condemned as being that old. Though granted this was a bit shy of max settings (and it's 1680x1050 shot cuz that's what I had at the time) and yes, the game has no clue what a straight line is, jaggies abound, but it's nowhere near that old.
No, not DRIV3R.
Comment has been collapsed.
Hmm, I don't remember there being any sailboats in NFS3/4. So nope.
Comment has been collapsed.
Haha. I know exactly what you're talking about, that game is all road and everything else looks like like a donkey.. This game is a bit different because all assets were seemingly dedicated to to the player cars and sun flare. (So, not it, in case I still needed to spell it out).
Another hint added.
Comment has been collapsed.
Guess I need to go back and play Hot Pursuit/Road Challenge/High Stakes again because I still don't remember it. There was one in NFS2 and later games but I don't remember there being one in that sequence.
Comment has been collapsed.
Don't think your hint is sufficient :) Maybe you could post something more useful!
Comment has been collapsed.
Fine. Someone already has actually just about said it but without saying it. (and I don't mean a direct sequel or prequel or that the name was incomplete(but it was))
Comment has been collapsed.
Nope. Though I hadn't realised clue 2 could also almost apply to Atari.
Comment has been collapsed.
I did. But someone guessed that just above you :P So nope.
Also the person was very close without being close at all due to how they said it. (and again I'm not talking about direct sequels or errors/omissions in the name) (though it was an omission :P)
I'll add another clue. And then another pic later when I get back from work.
Comment has been collapsed.
So based on the 3rd clue, this should be Need for Speed: Most Wanted (2012).
Not to be confused with Need for Speed: Most Wanted (2005).
Comment has been collapsed.
BINGO!
@Vecchia - Dude you were sooooo close and yet so far haha. NFS3 - In other words NFS3 - Hot Pursuit (I even said it later :P )
Clue 1 - Well that's the layout of the game. The shot is just after where you always get dropped in the empty Free Roam mode and then what I described is after that. Shame on everyone for not having played enough to know that :P
Clue 2 - Criterion's first NFS, but not Criterion's first game nor the first NFS.
Clue 3 - EA (publisher) moved development of NFS from Black Box (rectangular coloured object) to the just acquired Criterion (requirement in a list of them). (ProStreet -> NFS-HP 2010)
Your turn ->
(apologies btw, I had dropped to 1440x900 to get more FPS, so not 1680x1050, sorry for those that felt the image was overly pixelated)
Comment has been collapsed.
That`s i call "quantity is transformed into quality". xD
@Nanabanana - it must be your win on 99%, but as i knew and as said in clue 2 it was the FIRST game in the series for Criterion Games - and i decided to give my corrected version of your answer.
Comment has been collapsed.
Nah. My shot so I decide :P He's got enough points.
Your turn ->
Comment has been collapsed.
Ah, was about to say this, but you beat me to it! The third clue leaves no room for doubt :)
Comment has been collapsed.
Haha, except Most Wanted 2012 was Criterion's second NFS :P (clue 2 fail)
Also of the stuff I mentioned later in the chain only Hot Pursuit (NFS3 with the Hot Pursuit omitted) had been mentioned earlier by someone else in the chain, not Most Wanted.
LagiNatoRRR got it.

Sports Heads - FOOTBALL :P Playing it right now based on a google search

@SCHUMI4EVER - correct! But this screenshot is from my own modification.
@danbu - one word can change the world.

Basically i just unpacked game archive and changed only the background and some skins. It was almost five years ago (feeling old).

From my link above with any browser and download manager. Open dev tools in your browser, select the game area in the page to inspect, at founded element you can see and copy direct link to .swf file. To unpack game files you can use Flash Decompiler Trillix.

I know what you're saying but I'm having no luck at all. I can find the link, but I get a tiny unusable file.
Comment has been collapsed.
Well, downloaded it for myself - and got unusable file too. As i said previously i was interesting in modding ~5 years ago so the devs could change some in-game code or interacting with web page in "game-area" box. But! My old downloaded game is still playable.

Wow. Nowhere near tricksy enough. Didn't even survive me having dinner.
Thanks for waiting by the way :P

I think I've played this a long time ago.... Is this from a cutscene in Entomorph: Plague of the Darkfall ?
Comment has been collapsed.
I completely understand. Its a very strange title for pretty good game. I suspect if it ever comes out of early access that it will just go by Wreckfest.
Comment has been collapsed.
I'm quite surprised that they still call it "Next Car Game".
That was only the working title at first, since while these folks did make the FlatOut games (except FlatOut 3), the publisher they broke up with owns that franchise name.
Comment has been collapsed.
I'm guessing it's a transitional name so they don't lose all the attention they got with those technical tests when it first launched. Recall the Edge of Tomorrow / Live Die Repeat fiasco.

I want to say Jade Empire...but there's a Mona Lisa so I'm baffled.

Hell of a long shot :P
Valkyria Chronicles looks a lot better than that.
Comment has been collapsed.
Well, if there is Mona Lisa - maybe it is Onimusha 3 Demon Siege?

That's Gorky 17. I recognised this without searching.
Btw, in the future, you may want to check using image search before posting an image. I searched for the image you posted after the fact, just in case and Google points to the result.
Oh, and to add images, format like this (using direct image link):

Which shows up as:

Wow, that was faster than expected, you're right.
A forgotten cult classic and one of my faves from back then.

I'll be honest: I googled "Detective game eye patch hook hand" and it's wiki entry was the second result. A quick image search seemed to look similar and here we are. I'm still a little surprised it that search worked so well.

The camera angles purely served the atmosphere and the art instead of gameplay... it looked cool, not doubt, but could be frustrating as hell :D The graphics were state of the art for the time, though, and the game was genuinely creepy and oozed with style. It's a shame this never received a proper sequel.
Comment has been collapsed.
Sorry for the late reply - yea the visuals look great. Graphicwise (considering it's age) and also the art style. Will sure keep this game in mind to try out some day. I will see than how bis that frustrating gameplay hurdle is. But if other aspects are good I'd say I am able to endure quite a bit. ^^
