Just to troll: Please, everybody here, stop talking about something (rap in particular) you don't know. It's so annoying after a while. You racist people!
But now to the topic, which is not about rap as far as I understand the OP, I personally never heard it to say someone is racist because he/she doesn't like something. I wouldn't follow that trend. People can like and dislike what they want and someone is racist when referring to races. Now, when you think people are only from different countries and areas and of one race, which is true when look at it from a biological perspective. The word race was exchanged with the word subspecies. Human is just a subspecies of the genus Homo. So there is no other race than human anymore because the other Homo races died very early in the life of earth.
It just makes no sense to talk about races referring to human because there aren't any more than the human itself. Or as Michael Colyar would say, I do jokes about racism because racism IS a fucking joke.

I do what I want, I listen to what I want. Not what OTHERS want.
I'm not racist in any way. I see everyone equal in rights, regardless of their gender or ethnicity. (Yes, aliens and dragons have the same rights, too.)
Only, I won't stand anyone who interferes with my interest in music, movies, games... Because it is also my right to enjoy what style of music, movies or games I want to enjoy.

Stuff like RUN DMC or Cypress Hill is kinda OK but anything from 21st century is a no-no to me :-) Not because I'm racist, but because there's no MUSIC in that genre.

"I wonder how many people are following rap trend because they do think it is racist to not like rap?"
I hope not many, because that just seems so completely absurd. Basing your musical tastes off of what you think others will think of you is just about the stupidest thing ever.

Yeah it's just not related at all XD How could someone even think of that in the first place XD

Unfortunately the race card is played way more than it should be. Take for example President Obama's first election. Vote for McCain, you're a racist. And unfortunately, a lot of people believed that and voted for Obama simply because he was "black." (He's not, he's mixed.)

I don't like rap because of the music, I mean the stuff that isn't vocals, basically for me it lacks music.

OutKast - Aquemini / Stankonia
Mos Def - Black on Both Sides
Beastie Boys - Paul's Boutique
They're great albums anyway but, depending on your musical background, might be easier to get into because of the more varied instrumentation.

It is stupid to connect disliking a music style, such as rap, to racism, as deciding that any music style is focused only to one or any group of people is a bit idiotic. Rap is done by white people as well as blacks and Mexicans, and it is well known to be as such, I am unaware of any Asian rappers but I am sure there are many. There are some types of music that you would hear almost exclusively in only a handful of countries, but that may be due to taste.
I do not like rap because of it's tendency to promote gang activities, violence, adversity against police, domestic violence, foul language, and many other crimes. I know that many rappers to not tend toward these topics, but it is something that arises time and time again in rap. I have to point out my hypocrisy in playing and enjoying Saints Row though.

I came across this point of a comment on youtube.com. I did not think of it at first and simply thought the person was way off. Now I think about it again. I wonder how many people are following rap trend because they do think it is racist to not like rap? I have a feeling this kind of thinking might be little more common but I hope I am wrong. So, I wonder how many people are doing/following things because they think it would be racist (or input other word) to not do so.
Lol, maybe a more bizarre example could be being part of an interracial relationship because it would be racist to not date outside your ethnicity. This is just an example. No doubt there's at least few out there that actually do this. I am pretty sure there is a word for what I am trying to say. What do you people think?
