Good Third Person Games?

Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver, Heretic II, Aiken's Artifact, Hitman series, Tomb Raider series.
Oh and Hogs of War was a pretty bad ass game. It was third person if I remember correctly.

DayZ mod. Oh yes.

Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines, definitely.

The Witcher 1 & 2. I'd suggest checking out both, they are actually quite different when it comes to gameplay and atmosphere. And since the devs are working on the third one, they go on sale quite often too.

If you like ww2, the old but gold Hidden & Dangerous 1-2 and expansions... (can switch to first person too).

All the Splinter Cell games. Fable (The Lost Chapters). Risen. Red Faction Guerrilla.

Star Wars Battlefront 1 and 2. I think you CAN play first person, but I've always played them third person. Great games and the third one is coming out

War of the Roses.

Devil may Cry and Assasins Creed. :D
