Nice scene. But in the book, it's said that the children, born in the very dark Metro (the light is mostly due to the red Exit signs), weak and pale, would die instantly if they saw the sky.

At first, I wanted to post a picture of a guy wading through a flooded train tunnel but then thought it'd be too obvious ;>, and I remembered being very impressed by the graphics back in the day when I first saw that oversized fan with its then awesome lighting... still, great adaptations of the books IMO, I'm not that much of a purist anyway when it comes to adapting one media to another, as long as the liberties taken still fit the overall story.
