Just got this e-mail
Dear Steam User,
Steam will soon be priced in Indian Rupee!
If your Steam wallet has any money in it on November 3rd, 2015, your U.S. Dollar balance will be converted to Rupee, at a conversion rate dictated by market value at the time of conversion.
To view your account balance, simply log into your Steam client or the Steam website at http://www.steampowered.com. Once you have logged in, you will see your balance in the upper-right corner next to your account name.
Thanks,
The Steam Support Team

Hope they give a slightly better rate and that they don't ramp up the prices here just because it's the UAE...

Gifts will be locked for those region ??? for example United Arab Emirates ?? Any idea?
And those who got the message from steam already and maybe the currency changed too, did you try to purchase a Gift and Check If Its ROW ?!

It depends on the pricing. If the prices are equal to USD you'll able to buy ROW Gifts eg: New zealand and Canada still can buy ROW gifts becoz there is a little change in price compared to USD. In my case after the currency change all steam gifts get region locked becoz we get some price of games equal to russia

Ah i guess the price was cheaper before the currency change maybe ?? For example you don't pay 15$ For Cs Go before the the currency change.

The games are like 10% more expensive than the usa so it's not going to hurt THAT MUCH, but a little bit of pain is still pain.

I can't believe we don't have ARS. We are paying 35% extra for EVERY purchase we make.
I'm about to start boycotting Steam, this has been long enough, we have a terrible economic situation here and yet they still choose to support other countries.

Same with me. It's already the 18th and no change.
