If you want to share giveaways, please use this template:

copy everything inside the ` (even the opening/closing `grave accents`), edit and and paste it in your reply

``[Game](URL) Lv1-10 | Name | Date``

Please use the format provided above! It's easier for me to copy-paste multiple giveaways in this thread. Remember, yours aren't the only links I have to put here.

It will take me a few days to update the list. To avoid having your giveaway not "showcased" set its duration to more than 5 days (unless you don't care, it's up to you).

Original thread - Original Post by DesertMouse1

After going through a recent event where someone very close to me was feeling depressed and suicidal, thought I'd make some GA's to get a point across. If you are feeling this way, there is help, and people out there want to help. You're not alone and you are cared about. If you are not of this state of mind, realize that you could be the difference between them getting help, or comitting suicide. You will most likely never know how, who, or how many you helped, but that should make no difference. It just matters that you were there. Go and be the best you that you can be. If anyone out there needs someone, i accept all steam friend requests and will reply as soon as i see your message.
Try and keep the thread alive for a while so that more can see it. May i suggest pictures of cats? Anything really.

I've dealt with depression for over a decade, plus PTSD and some health complications which also make things even worse than what they are. But at least I had people that helped me. Friends, family, and even strangers from support groups that made things easier.
You should NEVER think you are alone, because there's always someone willing to help if you look around you. This might sound cliché but it's real, there are terrible people but there are also extremely kind ones. 💙

Also, if you can and you feel strong enough, please lend a hand to others in need. I've done this for years when I am confident enough that I can take on other people's problems without affecting my health to the point of getting me down.
Remember it's important to help others, but also take care of yourself.

Diagnosed depression isn't a joke (as in diagnosed by a professional and not by the patient, don't confuse it with other symptoms!). It's a serious condition and it shouldn't be taken lightly because it's not a physical illness. Just like cancer ends up with death, depression will escalate to suicide or cripple you in many ways.

Everyone feels "down" once in a while, but for some people it's a daily pattern of depression. The good news is that it is treatable.
Usually through therapy, medication, or a combination of the two. Antidepressant medication, despite some side effects, can help lift a person from the depths of depression within weeks of starting medication therapy.

If one medication doesn't work for you or the side effects are too much for you to live with, keep in mind that there are many others your doctor could give you to try.
Make sure your doctor knows about any other meds you are taking and always ask questions about your medication therapy, if needed.

Btw, DON'T get self-diagnosed, it's a terrible idea. You might be sad or during a grieving period, so always check with a doctor.
Besides, I don't know about other countries but over here antidepressants are only available if you have a medical prescription, so you will only be left with a possibly wrong diagnostic and no way to deal with it.

I hate this… waving. That you feel ok for few days and are capable of doing something productive, and then there are weeks or months where you’re not capable of doing anything else than waking up and eat something through whole day. Bonus point when you’re in shitty work you don’t like, so you need to endure being there for 8h in return for wage that don’t allow you to move out, pay for rent, bills and food. And then go back to your lame house, to people that don’t care about you and want to make your life as miserable as possible.

People that think you’re lazy, as you’re not able to behave like they’d want you to behave. People that leave mess everywhere and then blame is put on you, as you’re girl so you should act as cleaner for shitty men. People that don’t understand you may not have energy to go out and interact with others, be it in social meetings, job hunting or going to do simple shopping as you’re just supposed to do it without problems, they do it after all. People that don’t respect your private space, even when it’s limited to your desk and bed.

And then you see healthy people with families, friends, jobs. People that love their hobbies and find joy in them. Friends they love to meet and spend time with. And families where they can find support. And you feel like shit as you can’t be like that. That all days are exactly the same, that things you found interesting years ago are completely irrelevant right now. That you can’t find anything that’d make you happy. Or even smile for more than 5s. That this ugly emotional numbness can’t go away even when you’re with people you care about.

And you hate yourself for being like that.

I can't really help with most of those things. But here's something that will make you smile for more than 5 seconds! :)

you’re girl

and our little dragon :3

What I hated the most is being so unstable that a simple small disappointment could crash me for days, and still knowing how stupid the whole thing is, yet couldn't feel it better. It can and will get better, currently I feel like walking on eggshells, caring not to overstretch myself and lose focus, but at the same time not to separate myself from everything. I feel less often sad, but more a mix of anxious and empty, because monitoring feelings is tiresome, and it makes me feel that the world and myself are more mechanical, more artifical as it should be. It's a weird feeling.

Every day of our lives is progress forward. We becomes restless and ill-tempered when it's not exactly the progress we'd like at the speed we'd like - or when others believe we're not progressing as fast as we should. After a while, we begin to convince ourselves that progress can never be what we want - but we're wrong.

Just keep pushing forward toward the goals you'd like to achieve in your life, Ms Kotor. Go at your own pace, a pace you're comfortable with. You'll get there, and to hell with anyone who believes you should get there faster. The only things you should ever be dissatisfied with in life are the things you can change but don't - those you cannot change aren't worth your time or effort.

That you're dissatisfied is a good sign, in my opinion - a sign that you're craving forward momentum. That you're dissatisfied also means you have direction - away from the things that dissatisfy you. Just keep rolling on, and every day put a little more distance between you and those things. :)
