Despite I would like to, I can't say to anyone 'You are not alone'. Depending on how this is understood, it may be.. an illusion. During whole life and even in crowd we are alone. We are so different, barely communicating about the most simple things with our imperfect languages, learning to understand each other whole life and most still don't, even on a death bed, neither many want to understand others, consciously blocking themselves. We can't properly explain depths of our thoughts and concerns, for some things there is no words, for some most of us don't have enough mastery to express. So rare it is to find anyone just to talk to about the real things.
Living creatures die alone. Animals, when feel that it is time to die, embark on journey if they can, the last one. What do they know most of us don't? Or do they try just to do something in the face of death, something they can, disregarding how pointless it is. Maybe to find something new, unusual, beautiful last time. Or to remember something forgotten.
We can't live with and without each other. We love each other and hurt, hurt. For centuries humans can't learn to love better, to love generously, to forgive and don't expect anything in return. Not experiencing warmth can't teach us to give it to anybody else. And reason only tells not to trust anything, to expect hell, to shut in and ultimately to share unlove.
Why person needs empathy? Maybe, it is longing for being cared of, cared just because, with no reason, like mother embraces a kitten and lets in warm fur. Is it so much, getting warmth, a reassuring hug? Switch off reasoning mind, full of useless decor of reality around, which changes every day, barely containing anything really important, and for a moment.. be there. Where there is only love, unconditioned, unlimited, transcendent. Everyone needs this sometimes just to know and remember what it exists. But this can not last forever. Comes time to release our hands, we move apart. We need to reason at out best to act, because we are tied to this world with all the physics, laws of nature, anchors of bodies born to crawl. Natural order not easily letting us to surf the majesty our minds are capable of; sometimes dragging to living hell.
We can't get in this world all the greatest and most overwhelming things and keep them constantly. Almost always we are alone, reasoning, rethinking memories of events and moments dead seconds or years ago, being not understood by almost anyone (and not having power to understand everything either), doing own things, pursuing own feelings of being right, solving some problems important to us. And this is not bad. To carry on we just need from time to time to remember being there, out of this world, feeling this love, not a subject for agreements with others or ourselves, not for satisfying sexual desires, but which can be only between any two persons who want nothing else but share with each other ;3 Someone called this happiness, though since then meaning of the word was lost. So many have no idea what it is. It is great to experience "not being alone" here and now, and more and more, longing for the next time. Don't be greedy. This is a fact - it can not keep happening all the time. Don't discard best of what you already have, cherish it, and don't miss opportunity to give this to someone you sincerely care about. Who knows, maybe friendly memory, thought of you will give warmth to someone in tough moment, needing to remember love exists, or maybe to someone dying. You don't even need to know of this to make this world a better place.

That would actually be quite funny if the suspended could only interact with fellow suspended users, like how some games condemn cheaters to playing among themselves. But people get suspended for different reasons and they're not all trolls, so maybe not that funny after all. Wouldn't want to accidentally cultivate our own SG Prison gangs either: "What are you in for?" - "Non-activated wins... but I'm innocent, it was Steam's fault that the keys were activated on muh alt. You?" - "Shitposting, trolling and being an allround dick. But I'm also innocent, just misunderstood." - "I feel ya, my man." - "We gotta stick together, homie." -.-

If you want to share giveaways, please use this template:
copy everything inside the ` (even the opening/closing `grave accents`), edit and and paste it in your reply
Please use the format provided above! It's easier for me to copy-paste multiple giveaways in this thread. Remember, yours aren't the only links I have to put here.
It will take me a few days to update the list. To avoid having your giveaway not "showcased" set its duration to more than 5 days (unless you don't care, it's up to you).

I've dealt with depression for over a decade, plus PTSD and some health complications which also make things even worse than what they are. But at least I had people that helped me. Friends, family, and even strangers from support groups that made things easier.
You should NEVER think you are alone, because there's always someone willing to help if you look around you. This might sound clichΓ© but it's real, there are terrible people but there are also extremely kind ones. π
Also, if you can and you feel strong enough, please lend a hand to others in need. I've done this for years when I am confident enough that I can take on other people's problems without affecting my health to the point of getting me down.
Remember it's important to help others, but also take care of yourself.
Diagnosed depression isn't a joke (as in diagnosed by a professional and not by the patient, don't confuse it with other symptoms!). It's a serious condition and it shouldn't be taken lightly because it's not a physical illness. Just like cancer ends up with death, depression will escalate to suicide or cripple you in many ways.
Everyone feels "down" once in a while, but for some people it's a daily pattern of depression. The good news is that it is treatable.
Usually through therapy, medication, or a combination of the two. Antidepressant medication, despite some side effects, can help lift a person from the depths of depression within weeks of starting medication therapy.
If one medication doesn't work for you or the side effects are too much for you to live with, keep in mind that there are many others your doctor could give you to try.
Make sure your doctor knows about any other meds you are taking and always ask questions about your medication therapy, if needed.
Btw, DON'T get self-diagnosed, it's a terrible idea. You might be sad or during a grieving period, so always check with a doctor.
Besides, I don't know about other countries but over here antidepressants are only available if you have a medical prescription, so you will only be left with a possibly wrong diagnostic and no way to deal with it.
