[ENDED] Hard Reset Redux Giveaway & Quick Review!

Took the original out for a quick spin this weekend, quickly learned that circle strafing is your friend.
As are the various explosives and stuff, you don't want to blow those up just because...

As for the remaster - I'll check it out anyway. I suspect most of the graphical "downgrades" will be impossible to notice when the game's in full motion.

AWESOME REVIEW! How well would you rate the story? I can play any game as long as it has a solid narrative. FPS is not my fav genre, but the original was on and off my WL multiple times...

Also, are you panning to do a Dead Island Redux review? If so, please let me know! I'd love to watch it!

Nice review - bought the game solely for the Katana Upgrade - didn't like the old Extend Version much, although
it was good enough to play, but Shadow Warrior 2013 had spoiled my expectations already back when i tried it.

I like redux games, but they have to be old. Also, the improvements must include more quality and graphics, not only the resolution :S

WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK OF REDUX/REMASTERED GAMES? I'd love to hear your opinions about them.

It depends a lot on the game. If the game is recent, and the remaster/redoux fails to improve on anything significant, I don't see much point in them, but if they make some significant improvements I'm all for it. The way they handle the Redux version here is also quite good. People who already own the game get it at a very reasonable price, so we don't feel cheated.

The original was a very good game. I will definitely play the Redux at some point.

Remastered imho are worth only for really old games, i am a bit against this trend of doing remastered of ps3 etc xD but i would still like to play this one

I'm not sure how it compares to the original as I didn't play much of it but one of the biggest issues I've had with this Redux (after getting it to actually work that is) is that there seems to be absolutely no feedback on hitting an enemy. I'm not saying everything needs health bars for me to know I'm progressing but I need some cue.
