well getting most of the story from here,he should have just made the goal about the sex change operation and all of this could have been avoided I think.
it's better just to let the truth of your goals out than trying to deceive a bunch of people, that's pretty low. I think indiegogo did the right thing when they found out about what the money was used for, but it's a shame that it had to resort to an attempted suicide.

Not even going to comment at all about suicide because I know people don't agree with my opinions and they aren't going to change, so I'll keep that can of worms shut.

But I do think that it was very inappropriate to post it to something like twitch.tv because making it public turns it into an act of attention seeking and guilt trips people. No matter what one's opinion about suicide is, that sort of behavior is just not right because it involves people who do not need to be involved.

This guy (yes, it is a guy) tried to commit suicide because he identifies as a girl (my theory at least). She needed money for a genderbender, not shrapnel, not metal poisoning, nothing physically life threatening, otherwise she could be treated without further notice, even if she cannot afford it. It is however psychologically life threatening, because she does not identify with her body. These situations have lead to suicide and self-mutilation in the past and that is what is going on here.

Sadly she tried to garner funds via false claims and illicit fund-raisers which were all luckily shut down before they amounted to anything. Yes, that may have led to this very bad attempt at suicide (poor method + live stream = rescue), but you cannot truly be helped unless you are honest with people. I am pretty positive people would help out with the op if you asked truthfully. Let us not even mention the leaps and bounds that have been made in the gender identification realm and the people and organisations that help. There is help out there if you seek it. They cannot find you if you do not speak up.

So I haven't exactly been following this, I just recognized her as the girl raising money to get shrapnel out of her, but now I see everyone saying she's actually trying to get a sex change or whatever and scamming everyone... and no one seems to know what the F is really going on...

This could have gone two ways:

1. She's a really poor soul with terrible luck and really does deserve the sympathy, OR
   |2. (S)he is a lying, scamming, nasty attention seeker.

I'm just going to not bother thinking about it or reading any more on it, at least until some definite details emerge. What else can you do?

This is the same "lady" who has been running all those scams asking for money. Like the indiegogo campaign asking for money for a life-saving operation. They where all shut down by the different websites they were on, but he->she told all the reporters that she would commit suicide if they told anyone the money was actually to fix a botched sex change operation. Now that he did was he threatened to do, some of the people in the know finally leaked what has been going on.

Srsly. All that attention for such bad news. I wonder if somebody posts a story about a homeless dog he rescued from sure death or whatever... Attention = zero

Not even following the story, but it popped up the other day: she/he/it is an attention seeking cunt, who tried using Kickstarter for some kind of sex-change operation or some shit, pretending it was for metal poisoning from a car crash (which is hilarious in itself).
