Useful?
Actually it is user reflink.
You can check it by turning off reflinks in settings, reloading site, and inspecting site address. Now link should be clean.
Using your site as an example:
https://www.humblebundle.com/games/rpgs-2019 - link to bundle with referrals turned off
https://www.steamgifts.com/redirect?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.humblebundle.com%2Fgames%2Frpgs-2019 - link to bundle with referrals turned on
Above:
https://www.humblebundle.com/games/rpgs-2019?refc=ydg6Ps - link to bundle with refereals turned off
https://www.steamgifts.com/redirect?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.humblebundle.com%2Fgames%2Frpgs-2019**%3Frefc%3Dydg6Ps** - link to bundle with referrals turned on
I was corrected by seNs. So this way to check if user uses reflink is not accurate.

Are you sure? I mean %3Frefc%3Dydg6Ps is the standard SG referral.
With referrals turned on, the standard link (without ref.) and the link that BHTrellis188 linked above led me to the same URL with the end of ydg6Ps like any other humble link in the deal section.
Edit: They probably just copy-pasted that link (with SG referral) from their browser address bar.

Yes, looks like I made a mistake here. This part did not appear when I was testing it, so I thought it's a reflink. It did not have this "ydg6Ps" part when I was switching between reflinks on / off, and refreshing the page.
I was right clicking on hyperlink, to copy address. Not entering link per so. So it may be a reason. Sorry about the confusion.

In both version (referrals on/off) the hyperlink ends with those 6 characters (ydg6Ps) aka the user-specific referral code. In this special case the steamgifts/Cg referral.
Should be added to the referrals as an official site ref code for Humble Bundle.
Btw I have some trouble with would/could/should/shall/might/may phrases (and in general with English). So please read it as I've written it in a polite manner.🙃
Thank you!

Thank you for doing such a thorough analysis of what happened!
Proposal: have SG do an automatic 'sanitize' of all links posted, that cleans out all referral codes (and just add SG ref code automatically when link clicked) -- less of a chance of someone accidentally posting a ref code (and much less work for mods!).

https://www.humblebundle.com/games/rpgs-2019?refc=icaiosfakeref
try this fake one...
edit: the "sanitizer" (the "redirect?" you see hovering the link) obviously works for links where SG actually has a referral, so users can't never get their referral for Humble, GMG, Fanatical ... if user puts a referral for XY site, mods will ask for removal)

I tried your fake and and still ended up with the "ydg6Ps" ref code

Sure when a hyperlink doesn't have any referrals on it (your version), chrome won't show the site refcode on it. Only after opening the link in a new tab, if referrals turned on.
I mean on Chrome (referrals turned on or off) either I hover my mouse over user link or right click -> copy address to a text file/address bar, as the user copy-pasted the hyperlink it has the referral end.

In both version the hyperlinks ends with the ydg6Ps
string.
It did not have this "ydg6Ps" part when I was switching between reflinks on / off, and refreshing the page.
That is what I don't understand.
But it doesn't matter at the end. Problem resolved. User rehabilitated. Thanks!

Worry not. I am not upset. Simple mistake there. I just won't post links like that anymore in the future.

I see, since it is added by default if the referral links setting is enabled, users should not add any ref code to their links. You can't expect us to memorize all sg ref link codes, they should be different for other sites.
Also it is in Proposed Guidelines -> User Content -> 5. Referral links. "If you choose to post a link, please be sure all referral codes have been removed."
I was a bit annoyed because I had to delete the cookies and had to relog to hb to get rid of the referral...

Please forgive me as I have almost no knowledge about coding. I was just using the formatting codes here.

WARMA? Is it from one of those shady russian sites or a free giveaway somewhere?

I thought it phased out time ago.
Anyway there are always strange political things with domains.
Thanks for clarification.

Oh, goodie. The first time Chrono has something I want since White Night pretty much exactly a year back, and it's super high wishlisted, and I miss it 'cause I can't figure out where it's coming from. Pssh. :P
Appreciate the belated heads up, though. ^.^;

I'm probably not the only one in that situation, in fairness, and even if others don't view Seeds of Resilience as highly, it was a fairly low price [within the scope of recent Chrono giveaways] for a previously unbundled/non-promo-ed game. Heck, even the other game accompanying it, Distrust, has been bundled multiple times, and it had a higher coin cost. So yeah, not surprised it got eaten up fast. Just annoyed that I couldn't track down where it was coming from in time. :S

There, corrected.
a previously unbundled/non-promo-ed game with cards.
And here's why.
Add to that the fact that they probably have something like 50-100 keys, and they end quite quickly.
This one probably lasted a bit longer because cards aren't advertised on the store page.

Guess those shady GA sites are in full gear these days. Unless I was wrong and it's in a bundle.

This thread is created so you can ask other community users the source of those giveaways.
