Can someone tell me if the giveaway had a term like '' while the stock last'' on the sign up page.. if so let me know asap im talking with the support about it atm! he says it clearly said while the stock last. which i think isnt true! so if someone has the page in cookies or can check or something..

It did say while supplies last but i do not recall it stating how many keys...
But the fact that it stated while supplies lasted still implies that not everyone may get it..
That should have been enough for people to use common sense and say damn if i signup i might not even get a key,should i even give them my info.
Then again when it comes to free most tend to throw common sense out the window same with vote greenlight get a free key,then shocked when it gets voted onto Steam and no key ....

I am sure i read that,i just did not screen it did not feel i needed to.
I think most people over looked it or missed it because well a free key ..so there main focus is just to input info wherever needed to get said free item.
This is why scams are so easy because it hard to resist giving up some info the the prize of free.
While i agree people have a right to question it and be upset about it.I do not see the point of it because it was a free item and nobody was forced to give said info and on top of that it said limited supplies...

I think they should have used the Steam IDs to at least lock the keys to that account it was signed up for to prevent trading/reslling and maybe that was the goal but i do not know.People are already up in arms about sharing there Steam I.D despite it being public for anyone get get and say they scammed them out of it.Then you add the e-mail as part of said scam.They would have had to ask for more personal info to help avoid the use of VPN.
Most of this would have been avoided if they would have stated how many keys and shut it down once it hit that # and they did not so now people are ready to riot.The VPN thing as i said how are they suppose to avoid that without taking further steps of proof you are from the UK and so on without gathering even more info that people are already angry about sharing there e-mail and steam I.D. imagine what would happen if they asked for even more.It would been the worse scam ever and they would have started WWIII

Peace is actually likely correct that nationalism applies instead of racism, if he was intending a remark toward the policies and social structure of the nation rather than its cultural or genetic components.
In the quote you're referring to, 'national origin' implies a shared genetic/cultural background, hence why it's included among those other listed elements.
That being said, it's such a meaningless distinction, given that it's pure assery either way :P

I've seen some pretty nasty stuff here that didn't get suspensions- but I think of late staff has gotten more strict on it, so that's probably why.
Either way, I definitely feel a lot more comfortable using this site, every time staff validates that we don't need to feel concerned over such matters going unaddressed. :)

While the giveaway was "free" I don't remember any point where I was told there was limited keys, and the fact they more then happily took my details (Steam info + email info) for essentially free now leads me kind of miffed (think of it like giving a kid a lolipop then ripping it out of his hands sort of thing).
I kind of feel the giveaway was slightly dishonest now then anything (also I'm probably being a sore loser :p), I guess to me, it was more then just getting the game, I have Dark souls on xbox and ps3 so it wasn't like I was super banking on getting it, it was more of a "oh nice thanks" sort of thing.
But I now feel like I am very much unlikely to ever support the page like I do with say indie gala or bundle stars (where I've bought and paid more then my wallet would like but they give free games easily so I'm fair happy too).
This just leaves a sour taste in my mouth, one where I'd rather buy games or support a store that is more upfront to their (potential) users then one who promises good things, and then dogs you out.

GJ just didn't know how to handle their private invite giveaway properly, and it's harsh to accuse them for their lack of experience. And it's not like they asked for anything sensitive, and you could actually leave the steamid part blank :P

Especially can't fault them as it was a private e-mail-invite giveaway to their European subscribers (y'know, people whose emails they already theoretically had? :P), so they can't really be held responsible for anyone who entered through leaks, as the giveaway wasn't promoted anywhere else. :X

It may not have been promoted by them in particular but this was definitely promoted in many other sites besides steam gifts. But you kind of discuss the main point that I mean, they "didn't know how to handle a private giveaway", based on what you're saying they expected that emails wouldn't be leaked (which its obvious they would be), and they may have even assumed that people wouldn't have used VPNs which they did. And to remedy the problem, they basically said "oh well heres erm something?" sort of thing
Its not really about the game now, all this stuff, just makes me worried about buying from them in the future, or believing in any "sale" or other thing they may have. What I'm saying is they made some mistakes which has personally made me view them in lesser light, and if I had a choice, GJ wouldn't be my first because the last time I've dealt with them they as you said "didn't handle the private invite giveaway properly" and I'll always remember that :P.
Also for me those details arn't ones I like to just hand out without cause, and I would've been more proative had I known what they were really going to do (in this case it was more of a competition then anything, and I don't hand up my steam profile or emails for competitions also my names trustnoone so I don't exactly trust them with it :p),
Lastly if they wanted to keep it within there already made subscribers, they easily could've set it up for people who already have an account with them, easily solved.
(Also I feel like I wrote wayyyy too much into this argument XD, my true feeling is more like "oh thats a shame, I'll probably just stay away from GJ in the future" but the amount of writing I have (and possible tone) makes me sound like "grr grr Imma madd!!" lol)
