Sometimes I play World of Tanks. I guess this happens in all competitive games, but I was once told to get ebola and die by someone whose tank I destroyed. Now, I really do not understand why anyone would wish death and sickness on another person just because they were beaten by them. But people become a special kind of asshole when they know that they are anonymous. Of course these are the kind of people who have never suffered the death of a relative or a friend so they don't really understand what it means.

What would a life threat sound/be like?

"DIE" isn't a death threat. It's totally uncool, inappropriate and crazy juvenile, but they're not threatening to come kill you. At least, no more than some idiot typing "GET AIDS" is threatening to come give you it.

I didn't get any death threats, but I did have a guy I'd been helping a lot with his PC and stuff all of a sudden message me calling me every name under the sun. To this day, I'm still confused :S

And he's still blocked of course. lol
