Hi! I noticed that one of my puzzles for December 10 was marked as "closed", although all the others were "checked". And on the page of the puzzle itself no information. So I don't understand, does this mean that the puzzle did not pass the check or was not checked at all?
And sorry for my bad English.

The thing is, I was sending puzzle completion data. I still have a screenshot of the puzzle I sent - https://i.gyazo.com/3955dd35f28307dc9b9ecda5846ff57d.png

Strange, but I remember what I sent. Even the browser remembered the link in the proof field, and this happens only after sending - https://i.gyazo.com/105fd3dd276324071a419054b1a1c8b3.png

there is very low possibility that your submission is not going through. only logical things that may prevent submission are two: too many submissions (more than 5 in 15 minutes) or logout. logout is very rare now from site's side, only if your browser loses cookies

The first is definitely not, but with the second it is possible. Previously, there was a frequent logout. I remember once even this happened when I was present on the site.
Thanks. It is a pity that time wasted. Also, I missed the cheat days, hopefully they still will.

And 3rd - you started to solve puzzle when it was open but you sent your result when it was too late
As me did xD

Over the past few days I was getting an error the first time I try to view the site. Then I would reload the site right away or sometimes around 15 or 30 seconds later and it would work fine and I wouldn't get an error again for the rest of the day. I'm not sure what was causing it.

I'm really glad you found the time to get all these different and cool pictures each day. Thanks for all these nice puzzlesπ
I really love the picture of the hard puzzle from today (might be tied with the lion from dec 13th), but damn...those colours are hurting my eyes.π΅
Actually the first puzzle where I need to take a break.π

Will the cheat day puzzles to make up past days be the exact same as the original ones or will they be completely new puzzles of equivalent difficulty? Or will you leave the answer as a surprise?
I admit to being half hopeful that I can potentially finish the puzzles I didn't have time to do before the actual cheat days on the weekend and then quickly submit the screenshots.

You can pause the puzzle if you need to. Upper right hand corner, click the dots to open the menu, there should be a pause button by the time. Also, you can close the browser/turn off your comp, and pick up where you left off later.

Well, I did one so far and it took my 2,5 hours while my time is in the top ten. I'd say more like extreme than medium :D

Exactly. If anyone has any other tactics than random shuffling and hoping something sticks, I'm listening xD

Ouch, brutal puzzles today π¬
Obviously, it's up to you how you run the event, but given the chance that both giveaways are already owned/not interested (as they were today in my case), it would be really appreciated (and, season-appropriately, compassionate!) if at least one puzzle each day was 2 hours max. Would also be nice if at least one puzzle each day was an actual picture rather than a gradient or monotonous pattern, my eyesight isn't what it used to be and trying to work on today's puzzles in more than 20-30 minute bursts has my eyes burning...

Of course, you're right, it's not mandatory! The problem is, I want to participate... But I also want it to be a little bit fun π
When I opened the puzzles on the 13th and saw that gorgeous Lion picture, I was excited to do it, even if it was a challenge!
When I opened today to see two equally difficult π€― extremely similar π° and visually monotonous π΅ puzzles...
But honestly, the last thing I want to do is criticise, I hugely appreciate all the effort you've gone to with this. Just a little constructive feedback π

It's not mandatory and it is fun to participate π. Though some of those word puzzles are super difficult since you do not have a lot to go on. So when everything looks the same, most people will have a difficulty finishing them. At times I just randomly move the whole puzzle thing n the hopes a piece sticks because it is hard to see what should be going where, since they all look the same. The Easy 17 was easy because of the bubble form. So you can kinda go on the the bigger and smaller numbers. The hard one for day 17 was brutal though, had to take a few breaks. The puzzles for dec 2, 12 and 14 we're my favorites so farπ . They are very colorful and detailed and in each little piece you see another detail of the full picture which makes them a lot more fun to finish. They we're a bit like Mordillo Puzzels, which are my favorites. I think the event is great! Just try to have one colorful one in there next to a super hard one, but I also understand it's sometimes hard to find variating pictures.

I guess people didn't enjoy today's puzzles as much because they don't provide much opportunity to see roughly where a given piece should go - all pieces are very similar, so your best bet is to sort them by shapes, build the border and then just go line by line hoping to get a match quickly. After half-solving the blue one, I had to switch to the green one since I was tired of blue noise at that point.
Another thing that you did differently before is variety - even when both images were quite challenging, like on 11th or 13th, they provided different types of challenge.
My favourite so far were numbers 16, 17(even though I started too late and didn't manage it in time), 26, 27, 28, 30 and 35 - they all have distinct enough regions that you can start solving different parts of picture while you're still sorting out the shapes. Except for number 16 - at first glance it felt like a nightmare, but as I started building the border and sorting the shapes, I realised that you can figure out nearly the exact pattern you need on the next piece, so it turned out to be a very fun challenge.

There will be cheat days where you can go back and complete any puzzles that you didn't finish. They will not give you points, but they will allow you to complete the 1 a day to get into the top solver giveaways if that is what you were going for. Everything is explained in the help section on the site.

Hi. This has been a strange year. I have created a lot of giveaways but why not create even more? Some of you may have already seen or participated in pre-Event Event to get some taste of what is coming. I have already attempted similar event but that was years ago.
Similarly as in past event, you can earn points by doing puzzles. All of puzzles will be jigidis.
All puzzles will be open exactly 24 hours. To earn an entry to better Christmas giveaways, you must solve all puzzles in this event. There will be at least 2 puzzles each day.
All point values will be available in point section once that section is live (in next few days). I will try to finish Help section by the start of the event.
I have made a simple website for this event. Everything related to event will be posted there. Website has a steam login and to participate, you must have steamgifts account (obviously). If you have a different username in jigidi, there will be a possibility to set that username on website.
All giveaways in this event will end on December 28th 12:00 AM UTC+2. Website itself also operates in UTC+2 timezone and giveaways open/close on midnight. Once your submission is checked, submission form will be replaced with a link to giveaway unless you already own the game.
To your submission be counted as valid, you must follow some rules/guidelines. These rules will also be written Help section in bit more detail. pre-Event event is a good taste of what you will need to do.
RULES / GUIDELINES of submissions:
Within each 24 hours you will be able to edit your submission as much as you want. Pages with top solvers by day and overall will be created later on.
All giveaways are for level 1.
If you are on my blacklist, sorry. It's highly unlikely that I will remove anyone from my blacklist but you can try to plea in comments.
If by any chance you find a bug, you can submit a bug report on website. Just make sure that something like that hasn't been already submitted.
