Good F2P games?

Block 'n load, recently became f2p as well.

I think Wildstar went F2P recently. I played it before then and it was a pretty fun game. Dunno how it works F2P though.

I recommend Loudout. Last time I played it was a couple months ago and the game was quite fun. I would recommend TF2, but the game is slowly dying out.

Town of Salem is f2p off Steam and is very good.

If you like MMORPGs but dislike the "don't move and just click" kind of combat that Rift and Guild Wars 2 have, it's a must-try. It can be played PvP, but I personally only played in PvE. It's an "open world" MMORPG with live action combat (not sure if that's how you call it). As an example, the combat is somewhat similar to Darksiders, probably.

I played up to level 30+, then dropped it to play some other games for a bit. I don't know if I'll get back into it, but it was enjoyable while I played it. It's a fun game, and surprisingly good for a F2P. Absolutely no premium bullshit which gives advantages to players. The only things which will require you to spend real money is cosmetic items such as suits, dresses and whatnot, and these won't affect your game.

Hearthstone, Dota 2, War Thunder, Tribes Ascend, War of the Roses, Nosgoth, Quake Live, Fistful of Frags, Blacklight: Retribution, Star Wars: The Old Republic.

Just be aware that there's a lot of cheating that goes on in these F2P games, especially FPS ones.

League of legends.
The most populated online game in the world. Basically PvP and not a Pay-to-Win one.
World Championship is now being held so I can see the latest top player's play on twitch.
It's not a steam game since you didn't specify it, but you can add it to your steam library if you want.

I don't recommend APB, it is a fun game, but the community these days is toxic, you will not enjoy yourself. I do recommend Path of Exile, great free to play ARPG. Also I recommend Dirty Bomb, a competitive team based FPS that is very fun. Another good one is Robocraft, lots of fun, build your machine then take it into battle, kinda a 3rd person vehicular combat game. Team Fortress 2 is always fun to kill anywhere from 30 mins to several hours, that's about the extent of my free to play knowledge, I play them all and highly recommend them. One warning though, Path of Exile is very difficult, and requires a large time investment, all the others are easy to jump in and play for a bit except for PoE.

I don't know if it's still good (Since I haven't played in two years), but Atlantica Online is one of my favorite MMOs of all time. It has a turn-based combat system with some strategic depth to it. Most premium items are either cosmetic or just help you level up faster and they don't give any advantages in PVP. You can get premium items with the game's currency as well.

Stay away from IGG games, not only are their games sort of bad, they are basically pay 2 win.

Warframe. I used to play it a lot, stopped playing it for lack of time. It has one of the greatest communities and is fun as hell IMHO.

It's a good WW2 FPS, including tanks/planes. It takes quite a few hours to get good weapons, but you can pick up weapons when the enemy/team mates die.

I like APB but the game runs like crap for what you get and the company behind it is fucking useless.
Heroes and generals was actually really fun when i tried it.
Dota 2 can never be wrong!
Pah of exile is fun but i'm done with the game myself.. For now!

if you're not allergic to card games, Hearthstone is pretty good. And it's very possible to get a solid collection over time without paying anything.

I've been playing Star Trek Online for some time. The best stuff is behind a paywall, but you can acquire ZEN (the "premium/real money" currency) by playing the game, and there is pretty much no competitive play, so you can't say it's "pay 2 win", as there is no actual "win" conditions.
