Let's hope Valve gifts us the first game on our wishlist XD

Steam disappointed all the community. Well, they must apologize for this trouble. inb4: free hat for tf2 lel

Ew im afraid that ship has sailed :P
One of few times i wish my steam wallet was empty (:
And as usual steam is as silent as it gets. Not like they have to explain anything to millions of users who spent billions $ on their service but still...

I can't see my inventory, is that normal? All it says is "this account is private"
Also, Lol at Valve screwing up like this after their brilliant (cough irritating cough) trade protection.

What is funny - they could brake something while they were implementing this "feature".
If it's not broken - don't fix it.
:)

Shit, when did this start? This morning I was having connection problems so I logged in and out of my steam account. I haven't touched it since, though. I hope the mobile crap does more good than harm with all this... since I have it...
Merry Christmas >_>

Seriously, can anyone else access their profile and inventory? I can only access my library

First: the community has been taken down by now, I guess they're working on the problem.
Second: you are opening your account to a risk if you keep trying to open those pages. For the love of God, stop it. They totally said "don't touch anything", because you're generating pages that will not be seen by you, but from other users.

Oh, they are connected to the community?
Ok, I won't touch them then.

I was trying to buy a game for a friend, got all the way through the checkout before realising it was a different friendlist (and a different person on it with the same name). Just brought up an error when I was trying to pay with their linked account though, so I feel safer that nobody would be able to use mine either. :)

so you realized this was not your account, and you tried to pay with it anyway?? that's not cool.
Comment has been collapsed.
Same happened to me, only that someone else tried to buy a game (Garry's Mod) using my account. Apparently, he wasn't able to purchase it and was left in the cart. And I was able to cancel that purchase and remove that (s##t) game from the cart. I think our Steam wallets and payment methods are safe for now. Although, it was still kind of scary that someone else tried to buy something using my own account...

ok then I gotta stay awake for the night ;_;
Thanks for giving me the reason for a gaming night, Gaben :D

No! Stay awake! Also, be ready to cut off all electronical devices from the power. Today is a day like the 31.12.1999 where they did not know whether everything would just crash!

I hope you all learned your lesson!
Next time when valve will ask you to activate your Mobile Guard - just do it.

The problem is you shouldn't fear hackers. It's regular steam users you should fear.
Stop doing this, if a random guy manages to find your account and sees it has funds, it won't be able to spend them immediately, but nobody stops it from trying to attack your account later. The pages you're trying to watch are exactly the ones being shown to random people around the world. :(

According to SteamDB guys and Steam subreddit, don't visit Steam Store or Steam Community. Don't login or logout. Don't touch anything.
SteamDB twitter: "To repeat, do NOT visit any Steam Store links. Doesn't matter what you want to do, do not visit any of them." "The best way to protect yourself is to completely avoid Steam websites for now."
