Been having second thoughts about the Dark Souls sale. Saw a topic about winners not playing much in the games they win, and it seems to be true. Yet here we all are trying to win new ones... :)
Would be easier to give away a dozen copies of Fortix, since I won't care if anyone plays that. :) But if you enjoy a game so much that you want to share it with random strangers, and the winners don't like it, or don't even install it, that can be a bit discouraging...

I didnt find it too difficult. Then again, I played Demon's Souls and am always very, very careful in games. I don't think I ever died in DS from negligence.

It's a bit like chess or go, or the old school games, where you die all day long until you learn what's going on, then you progress to the next part where you die all over again, but in a slightly different way. Eventually you've died enough that you start to learn what you've been doing wrong, and think about maybe not doing those things any more... :)
It's very fair, there's nothing that kills you without your being able to do something about it. Now if you're like me, you don't have the skill to do something about it, so you keep dying. But the people who play the game well can do it... :)
Just finished watching videos by this person Emarrel, playing through the game with his character at level 1, on "new game +7" and it's insane. My first time through the game, I kept leveling up like any rpg, getting better stats, using better equipment, etc. And still died like a dog all over the place. If you haven't played much, better armour and higher stats are like insurance, they will permit you to make several mistakes in a fight and still live. But this guy was insane, some ten minute boss fight, roll dodge run away back off and finally the opportunity to attack, plink! One hit! Then it's back to staying alive until the next opportunity for that one hit. It's pretty amazing. Don't know what a person does after they've mastered a game like that, play something else perhaps... :)

Thanks added, that's a nice price
Edit: might be a price mistake though

Thanks for this! Nabbed one myself.
EDIT: I activated it and it claims to be a pre-order and locked, but it is downloading. Hahahaha. Whut?
Comment has been collapsed.
Yeah, I got that message too and it's downloading just fine when other preorder games I've gotten didn't download until release. Probably a mixup on Steam's end.

Added Back Today! and some other

There's an Activision sale! Anyone knows more about it? I'm interested in the whole Modern Warfare pack but it costs more than the single games...

Bundle 2 looks the best. Not sure if I will buy it though.

Some indie bundles are posted, I will update the rest when I get home from work

Hopefully the free games will make this more interesting.

Oh, I didnt realize that Triple Town is on Steam. It makes that bundle look a lot better.
There are a couple of bundles I havent put up yet - I'll do that when I get home, and also try formatting them a bit better.

ty Jatan11t<3 for organizing this and keeping track ^^<3

Wow, these bundles are looking worse and worse. I just went through most of them, and there are quite a few that honestly should have Steam keys but don't.

If you guys have any suggestions on how to format, I'd appreciate it. It looks really ugly right now - I wish there was some way I could put columns.

New Bundle Tony is going to pitch
Stealth Bastard Deluxe
Afterfall Insanity Complete
Strike Suit Zero
Mars Logs
Galaxy on Fire 2 HD
For $10, of course. This one actually looks quite good.
Comment has been collapsed.
Eh... nope.
Strike Suit Zero, Galaxy on Fire 2 HD, The Cave, Toy Soldiers, Tower Wars, Raven Squad, Symphony, Triple Town, Stealth Bastard Deluxe... none of those have been in bundles before. And not everyone has collected every bundle ever, so some of the repeats, offered in new mixes might attract people that just want one of the games from a previous "stinker" bundle.

Thanks! I'm going to get this one I think, it's the only one I don't have at least 1 or 2 games of and am interested in!

None of the packs look even remotely worth buying, except maybe the one Tony is trying to get added. I think the more appropriate way of doing it would have been to let us build our own. I'm not even sure I could find enough Steam games that I don't have, even with that approach, but it would be much better. Way too many drm free games.
I hate mixed DRM, it doesn't even make sense. People that buy Steam tend to only want to buy Steam and those that buy drm free tend to only want that. I can't keep up with a full collection of Steam, plus Origin and Uplay, and then to have to throw in a ton of drm free. I'm fairly sure I would melt down.
Thanks Jatan for taking the time to put it all together. You made it a lot easier to sift through, than going through the website.

Amazon doesnt really have the infrastructure for building bundles right now. Maybe in the future.

Oh I know. I have kept up with that thread, just like you, since I came back to Steam. I do like that Amazon is moving in a good direction, but I haven't been in much of a rush to buy games from them since the January sales. Too much non-Steam stuff, high prices, and I pay tax there. A make your own bundle section would be a step in the right direction, in my opinion. They seem to keep getting better, so I think I will be buying a lot, from them, this holiday season.

"Get 3 free games per day when purchasing anything from the indie store"
Can someone clarify this? Like, if you buy something one day, you'll get three specific free games, but if you get something on a different day, the games will be different?
Comment has been collapsed.
That's what it sounds like to me. I'll update as soon as I have more information.

It says Steam key on the page for it, but Amazon makes mistakes occasionally.

I can confirm Raven Squad does give a steam key. The page has been up for months and has always said Steam DRM, though it changed very recently (in the last week or two, since that's when I last checked the page for sales). I already activated my key for it. I cannot say whether or not it'll change or not, but as of about half an hour ago, it still works.

Galaxy On Fire and Strike Suit Zero are listed as "Download" rather than "Online Game Code".
Does this mean they aren't on Steam?
Comment has been collapsed.
Both copies should be Steam. They are listed as Steam on the main game pages, plus Amazon gets dumb sometimes when listing things as downloads. They try to send me to the download section often when I buy Steam keys. Download and online game code are really interchangeable, it only matters what they list the DRM as. My source would be my own library, which has most of the games listed as download, but I only buy Steam games.
Comment has been collapsed.
I think both are on Steam. Amazon just isnt very consistent with the labeling.
Comment has been collapsed.
In this world of Humble Bundles yep, this is quite much.
Comment has been collapsed.
Not sure how that is either here nor there. Both Humble Bundle and Amazon are Western-centric businesses which do not employ regional pricing as far as I know.
If your point is that Humble Bundle is more readily purchasable by non-Westerners, that is a fair point but has nothing to do with $10 being too expensive for these games.
