Do you really need to ask why is there so much hate anywhere on the internet? The answer is usually because you're on the internet. People are always more hostile on the internet than in person, because being hostile in person requires the courage they don't have ;)

I won't say anything about your rude attitude, but regarding your trade :
I think you don't deserve that -rep, but you still handled that poorly. As I suggested earlier, you should post a screenshot of the error message to show people here what situation you faced.
Try to see things from the other trader's perspective : if this gift was indeed one of those that are region-locked but give no warning, just imagine yourself in his shoes, how would you have reacted ? Maybe contacting him and trying to clear the misunderstanding would be the right thing to do.

To OP's credit,
and after reading the threads and screenshots related to one of his trades : I had this case happen to me, where a gift looks region-free, there's no warning at all, but then there's trouble when you try to activate it. It was with a game I've won on SteamGifts, the creator of the giveaway would have had no way of telling before, because as I said, the gift displayed no warning whatsoever.
So I believe him when he says the guy promised a ROW gift and gave him a restricted one, this kind of things can happen.
The argument "When a game is locked, the warning appears for everyone regardless of their location" is actually wrong.
Just keep that in mind before judging him, that trade seems to me there was no foul play from him, and that would make this -rep undeserved.
This is why we should not be too eager to cast judgment, and why the "no calling out" rule exists and should be respected.

I can confirm this too, it's rare but it happens.
I once traded for Heavy Bullets, this was in a Humble Bundle and you got an extra copy in your inventory when activating the game. It had no region mentioned in the description, we only found out about the lock when I tried to activate it.

That's true (have a SEA locked gift with no tags as well). However I'd also like to point out that leaving feedback that says "He said he would gave me a game for my key but than just said deal has been ended" is not the same as leaving feedback that says "He traded me a region locked gift for my game. The gift had to region locked tags but when I tried to activate it, I couldn't. He didn't believe me and refused to give anything else as compensation."

Well, reading the chat log, he didn't really promise you anything. Also, omitting a lot of information makes your feedback, in practice, untrue, since you make it sound as if you gave him something and he gave you nothing.

Maybe he freaked out because the gift had no warning and yet you were telling him it wasn't working. That's something that scammers do : "that key you just gave me, it's duplicate, send me another one". Classic.
That's why, from his perspective, it might have looked as if you were scamming him.
You should provide a screen of the error message that shows up when you try to activate it, it might help convince people here that you're telling the truth - not that I really think you owe us anything, just trying to help clear the misunderstanding.

As far as I know, that thing happens only for some games (like Contraption Maker, as kukeemon mentioned). I've gifted and activated many Space Farmers keys, and all the gift copies I've received are ROW (I'm from South America, so it should've give me region locked copies). There is no tag, but I gifted those extra copies to people from other countries, and nobody had any problem to activate them.

When i won a restricted gift i added the guy and talked it out with steamgift support to get his giveaway removed with my concent so he woudnt get in trouble and we both could continue what we would be doing.

When I won a restricted gift the creator of the giveaway just told me to mark as "not received", that's what I did. Not to punish him or anything, just because he and I considered it was the normal course of action.

I am giving away crappy games from bundles that i don't want, i don't do this for the CV/level since the games are cheap and are also having 15 percent of it's value.
I'm thinking about stopping with giveaways and trade all my games like i did before.
Is there someone that could explain this to me why people are hating so much?
