I looked at the sheet briefly, and just wonder... Has this ever been suggested as an on-site feature, instead of being monitored by users?
We already have the "Birthday Cake" icon next to our names for a day when its the anniversary of signing up to the site, so perhaps wouldn't be too much of a stretch to add similar "badges" for giveaways won, sent, years on site, and probably a few others from the Achievements spreadsheet. There's plenty of room next to our names anyway across most of the site, or could be limited to choosing between so many.
I don't mean to take away from the project itself, I'd have 62 achievements filling it in, across all sections myself, 66 if counting down to the "Over-Achiever" achievement (copied the sheet elsewhere). But would perhaps find it difficult to "enforce" or "check", not that there even is any purpose to cheating the system in the first place.
Anyway, for a suggestion (when my keyboard stops dying, needs batteries),

Interesting idea! Perhaps if there was a plugin I would consider joining, but at the moment I can't be bothered to constantly update the spreadsheet with my newly earned achieves. (If I'm understanding how this works). Still, I'm going to keep an eye on it and see how this evolves. Perhaps I'll join in the future :)
Reminds me of how an SG plugin had achievements at some point. (Am I imagining this?) I think there was something to do with winning/giving a certain amount, and participating in holiday events.

Yeah, I can't help myself. Could I have an invite, please? Thank you. :)

Can I be invited? You can tell me what do I need as well, if I don't manage to meet your requirements.
Thank you.

I created the Google sheet and most of the achievements (although quite a few have been suggested by members of the group or other users). Whoever participates only need to add their name to a column, then add a checkmark to achievements they have unlocked. There's no automation, so all users take care of their own column individually.
If what you were wondering is "what's the point of this", the answer is there isn't any other than bragging rights, e-peen and a feeling of accomplishment when you check an achievement. :P

Go to the discussion on the group where the spreadsheet is, open it and add "x" to achievements you've earned. :P

For train-achievements, does it count if all the "wagons" are linked in the same post or giveaway for an easy see-all view, or must there be next-clicking involved between each wagon?
Edit: If you want to Fight the Dragon, take a look at my title in the spreadsheet.

Hello Steamgifters,
As some of you may remember, a couple of days ago I launched a public spreadsheet where any and all forum users were granted editing access. The Spreadsheet contained various Steamgifts community related "achievements". In under 24 hours, the sheet was obviously fucked up by some users.
Therefore, I created a group dedicated to the Steamgifts Achievements spreadsheet. It limits the access to only people I deem I can trust, but at least there is a much reduced chance of anything bad happening. Anyways, enough with the introduction. Below is the information you want and need to know.
How to get an invite
[Updated]
Since this thread has been resurrected, I've noticed the instructions are outdated (Steam changed how things work since then) so here's an updated version. First, comment below. Then, send a request to join here. I'll review your profile and invite you if I feel you are trustworthy.
FAQ
What was this other thread all about?
Well, I won't try to explain. Here's the link to the previous thread.
So, what exactly is this achievement spreadsheet thing?
I'll get right to the point, and give you an uneditable copy of the current spreadsheet. If you think that this is for you and that a spreadsheet is something you are comfortable working with, then you'll probably have fun. Otherwise, I'd recommend staying away from that stuff.
I still don't understand how this works.
Don't worry, I got you covered. Here's the Steamgifts Achievement Rules & Guide. There you'll have a more detailed overview of what is Steamgifts Achievements.
aaaaaand we are live! Yay. I need a break from taking a break. :P
Cheers!
