Am I the only one getting Steam friend requests because of SteamGifts?

Beggars on occasion, but I've made many, many friends because of SG.

Yeah, suuure, you're the only one. Yep.

I've gotten a few, but usually ignore them once I've checked to see if we have other things in common or if I've won a giveaway (or I had one end and forgot about it). If I see that we have another group that isn't an official group in common, I might add them though.

Once I made a giveaway and 5 people added me, 2 begged right away and it was downhill from there.

I have had some random invites since I joined the site; not sure if they are from steamgifts specifically or from trade groups.

I've had people send me a friend request then beg for an invite to a couple of groups I have for good people.

I feed them to my chair.

This one time a dude added me. I had never been active anywhere but here, so I guessed it had something to do with SteamGifts. I never messaged him and he never messaged me. We've been friends ever since.

It's a good story.
