Really sad to hear this. Although we've not really communicated, I loved your perpetual gifting initiatives, and once I participated in a group event you had set up - around Christmas, IIRC. But if this is what you find best, fare thee well.
Still, you could pop in once in a while, you know. That would be awesome. Who says you need to make giveaways if you stick around? And anyway you've already given enough as it is.

Can't say that I knew you but going by the comments you got - and the stats too - you definitely look like someone who'll be missed - assuming you'll manage to resist the temptation to come back that is ^^

Seems to be several people are re-evaluating their priorities with the new year coming.
I've been kinda in-and-out of the forums for the past few months myself, so I can definitely understand where you're coming from.

SteamGifts, I think it's time we reevaluated our relationship. Now, let me be clear about this -- it's not you, it's me. I'm afraid the old spark just isn't there anymore I've noticed I'm not giving you the attention you deserve, and... I'm sorry. I really am. But I have to be honest with myself, and with you, and I just feel you deserve better, so... I guess this is the end.
So to cut a long joke short: the end of 2015 also marks the end of my SteamGifts, um, career I'd guess you call it. I've had a blast making random strangers on the Internet happy with gifts in all shapes and sizes, making my own group, being in groups, solving puzzles, making a lame one of my own, playing Santa... but time moves on, priorities change, and I've decided to cut my time on this site short and save the money I've been spending on all those gifts for a better cause. I know, inconceivable, how can there be a better cause than you? Well, turns out, the better cause is me. I know, I was surprised too. :-)
Now, we're not parting on unhappy terms in this time of good cheer. Of course I'm still going to stuff your stockings this Christmas -- update your wishlists now and keep an eye on the forums, you'll thank me later. All pending giveaways will finish in an orderly fashion, and looking at what I've still got, I'm going to go over 500 sent gifts before I'm done. Well... merry Christmas and/or happy holidays in advance, and maybe see you around... you never know!
