Nabbed it yesterday just in case the sale price was not ongoing on Steam.
Can't wait for FH5's licenses to go belly up so I can afford to buy the ultimate edition XD

You already aren't able to anymore. A couple of seasonal multiplayer achievements have been unachievable since Aug 22nd.

They listed five as not being unlockable any more, but in reality two of them still work normally (Stunt Puller and A Creature of Habit).
The other three are really currently impossible, but I'm experimenting with changing date-time (using libfaketime) and had some success with completing events from past festivals, so maybe, maybe...

IMO they should just put the festivals on endless loop, I hate these one-off timed events in games...

Yeah, same. I bought the game in July with the same discount and managed to get the respective achievements, but I'd still prefer them to have these on auto-rotation.

The sale says it's until Dec 16 but the announcement said the game would be delisted on Dec 15, so be careful not to wait until the last minute.

Steam sales rotate at 18:00 UTC, not sure what your point is. The game will be delisted before the sale ends, unless they will delist at Hawaii time or something.

Dec 16, 18:00 UTC = Dec 17, 01:00 UTC+7, so the sale even ends on Dec 17 for you. Nonetheless the game is announced to be delisted on Dec 15, probably also around 18:00 UTC, so ~24 hours before the sale is ending. That is why pb1 told people to not wait until Dec 16 to go and buy it just to be safe.
