Original idea? Driving simulation, has all the roads in the United States, and you can drive literally anywhere. If you live in the US, your house is in this game and you can drive by it. I don't know what the actual game would be, but that would be the basis. Maybe something like Crazy Taxi? GTA? One of those truck sims? Of course choice in vehicle would be important. And maybe you can fast travel to cities, but only if you've unlocked them by traveling to them. Maybe some kind of delivery game or taxi game (like Crazy Taxi but serious). So basically Google Maps: The Game. (And as an Easter egg you can get an iPhone and sometimes it tries to tell you to drive into a lake, haha.)

How about some good Terminator games? FPSs are dime a dozen, I want a RTS or 4x to organize guerrillas, scavenge pre-Judgement Day leftovers as resources, fight off infiltrating Terminators and Harvesters, hack Skynet and capture the time machine to send Reese and the T-800 back in time.
Or a good adventure game based on the original story. You have to get to Sarah and/or John Connor before the Terminator and stop Cyberdyne from developing Skynet. All these with the clock ticking and limited opportunities to save the game: you take your time or make too many mistakes and all humanity is doomed.
Or a good RPG in Fallout style. You try to survive on a futuristic battleground and hook up with the Human Resistance, gaining experience setting up traps, fighting Hunter-Killers, spotting the metal skeleton under living tissue, carring out missions like infiltrate a slave labor camp to run intel on Skynet newest R&D of time travel and T-1000.
Yeah, I would like to play those games.

I would give so much to see the Advent Rising trilogy finished. I loved that game.
