My cat was missing for three days

So, my older cat went missing on Friday afternoon.

I went to every neighbour, checked everything there was to check, no sign of her anywhere. Female cat, 9yo, spayed, hates every living thing except me and is always home over the night. If she very occasionally isn't (because it's midnight and I get up at 5:30 and can't wait any longer), she'll run inside the house first thing in the morning.

That cat went missing for three days.

A few minutes ago, I heard meowing at the door. It's been raining heavily today and she's fully dry and clean.

After devouring a ton of food and drinking half a bowl of water, she sat in front of the door and meowed to be let out again.

Let's put it this way: neutering a female cat or spaying a male cat is like performing a vasectomy on a woman or a hysterectomy on a man.

You're the one that needs to understand. A male and female cat together when not neutered can have at least 1 to a general max of 8 kittens every litter, and can have around 3 litters every human year. That means that if you don't neuter them, you're going to have lots of kittens.
Btw, the true max number of recorded kittens in a litter is 14.

FEMALE cats are SPAYED
MALE cats are NEUTERED

You cannot neuter a female cat because it doesn't have testicles and you cannot spay a male cat because it doesn't have ovaries/uterus.

Is it clear now?

You are lucky, most of my missing cats were never found. Maybe they were catnapped to be eaten(some freak in asian country do eat cat) or for money purpose. I've 2 bengal cat that went missing.

My 2 cats go outside every day and I don't have fence they can't climb over or go under and I don't put leash on them. Can't see anything wrong in that.

1 they wander off and don't always come back. sometimes they have kittens in the forest, sometimes they decide they hunt well enough they don't need you, sometimes they die or get taken by hawks or coyotes or a car
2 cats kill everything (they're absolutely devastating. They outrank cars and paved surfaces as far as damage. you're better off dumping gasoline in a pond than letting the cat out)

We had someone's missing cat at our back door. Rang the number on the collar, it had been missing for two months and travelled 10km through 4 suburbs to get to our place from its home.
