I didnt see anyone mention (or maybe i am just blind) Ao No Exorcist, Basilisk, D.Gray-Man, Devil May Cry, Durarara!, Hellsing , Mushishi, Slayers, Wolfs Rain and Yu Yu Hakusho. Some are better, some are worse (depends on the taste) but i enjoyed all of them :)

If you want comedy(mixed with some action)- Ranma 1/2. If you wanna only action- Devil May Cry anime.
