Yeah... we won't know unless we know what shows you like, but since you said Reborn and Yu-Yu Hakusho, then I'm assuming you like the Shonen genre type.
I'm not into Shonen myself, so I'm limited on my knowledge... a few I could try to recommend are these:
If you're willing to try a different genre, then here are some others:
The list is literally endless, you'll need to show your own to see what you have watched, so we could distinguish what you like.

like i said IS is good but very far from the "pinacle" of mecha like macross, gundam, code geass, neon genesis evangelion, etc.
For me people should try gundam, most of those series are amazing and the "worst" gundam is normally a above average anime.
Mecha genre, for me,is what makes anime great. from the storylines to the over the top battles make these series the top of anime.

Mecha is probably the ONLY genre I refuse to watch. It's a bad habit of mines.
I'd watch anything else except for Mecha, but that left me out of Macross Frontier, Code Geass, Gundam 00, Evangelion, Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, etc. The reason being I just never understood why people would go inside robots and fight when they could just beat each other up.

each series explains why do use mecha.
here is the gundam example.
humanity has colonized space and the earth goverment explores these colinies tiranicaly.these colonies try to atain freedom however this leads to them being threaten with nuclear weaponry. so the colonies "create" the minosky particle which blocks comunications effectively stoping the use nuclear weapons. when this happens earth federation moves it's vast fleets to the colonies to make sure that they still "cooperate" with earth. colonies which are further away from earth found a new nation called the Principality of Zeon and finally declare independence. the mighty fleets of earth fedaration are quickly deployed to destroy the rebels. Zeon knew that it couldn't defeat the earth federation in power so they developed a secret weapon to give them the advantage. that weapon had to be fast enough to dodge battleships weapons , powerfull enough to destroy them and easy to use. this lead to the invention of mobile suits (the mechas of the series). they gave zeon soldiers a chance to deal with the spaceships of the earth federation.
i could explain in more detail but my point is in most mecha series they explain the need of mechas. in gundam the mecha gives soldiers a lot of firepower and mobility then the current tank and ships we have. a mecha is also easy to use since it is basecally a "human armour" while if it used a more bizarre design most common soldiers would take a lot of time to adapt to it.

IS is very different from 00/geass, he should also try Zeta Gundam if he likes those, its very much like 00.
IS is a good show though, different but good.

I promised myself I would not watch Unicorn till it was finished, takes to long for each episode to release...It would drive me nuts, think it only has like 1 left right?

Haha, no it wasn't. Eiichiro Oda only made One Piece. Fairy 'Tail' is made by Mashima Hiro.

Cowboy Bebop, Mushishi, Berserk, Black Lagoon, Darker than Black. I know a lot of others, but I'm too lazy to type 'em all out.

I'll just list some I've liked. Fullmetal Alchemist ('original' and Brotherhood), Death Note, Neon Genesis Evangelion, .hack//sign, Code Geass (though based on season 2's first episode, season 2 is shit. They decided to retcon the fuck out of it, so don't expect a good ending). That's pretty much what comes to mind. Oh and those are rather short too. I think Fullmetal is the longest at like. 52ish episodes. The rest are in the mid 20s (well, with Code Geass I am only considering season 1). No 300+ episodes animes in the list. I can't stand them that long.

code geass season 2 much b etter than season 1. for me season was rather simple since japan technically rebeled agains a country that had almost 1/3 of the world resources. i found that kinda lame. i am glad that in season 2 they actually give a sense that there are several factions in the world vying for power and it also show more user with geass most of which are very interesting chars.
