Is APB better than it used to be? I played it when it first released on Steam and it was fun, but quite buggy so I gave in trying...

Still kinda meh, I put a good 20+ hours into it before it came on Steam, the customization is the best part honestly.

Flying gameplay of PlanetSide 2 is awesome and I really liked it. Until I get killed in less than two seconds by a cash shop whore I was dammaging for a while (3 reloads..) with almost no misses..

This game is messy because of the pay to win system, otherwise it could have been cool.

That's very crappy of them and it's also weird, after people like TotalBiscuit and other very well known youtubers said the game is not pay to win. Guess it just goes to show that everyone has a price.

The only F2P Steam game I've been playing nowadays is SMNC, so I guess that says something.

F2P games cannot be good.
1) Sooner or later you bump into the item mall. After that all cost more than any bought game.
2) These games sucks real life like nothing else. You won't see daylight for long.
3) These attract the worst ppl of the internet. Power hungry narcistics, infantile lowlifes and many sociopathics.

That's only if the item mall/cash shop has items that give players an unfair advantage.

Try The Banner Daga : factions. You won't really find any bought items there, nor too many childish people considering the game is quite complex.

Implying a f2p game would "suck real life" any faster than one with a subscription or retail price? I don't understand.

1) nope. not all games must have an item shop. look at americas army and imho its not about the price of a game. wow isnt f2p and it costs a lot more than "other" games because of monthly charges. that doesnt make it a bad game itself.
2) eh yea and paid games cant? isnt the aim of a game to be so awesome to addict people to it? imho its a sign of quality if you dont see daylight for days...
3) actually i NEVER saw those people in americas army
you have no idea what you are talking about...

So what? Most of the time if the games any good it can be totally ignored, if not hell you like the game so much throw the devs a couple dollars...

Point 2 doesn't even make sense, what are yo trying to say? That it takes all your time? Thats untrue if so...

Point 3 is not even valid, look at the community for games like CoD, thats paid and well yeah...depends on the game, I rarely bumped into an idiot in Super Monday Night Combat(Btw cash shop is useless in this game, mostly cosmetics)

To answer all:
1) Some may have no item mall, but most DO. And this is why F2P exists, item mall. Developers and designers know the little tricks to force you to buy those shiny mall items. If YOU do not buy anything, that's good for you. Most ppl will DO buy.

2) Of course there are 'normal' games that inhale you for days, but all end after a while and you have a satisfactional feeling. F2P games never ends, and you forced to play more and more and more. Otherwise you fall back behind your new online friends or the guild contains you simply drops you cos you are not enough active. No satisfaction. You wait and whine for more and more extra content, but never feel real good.

3)I played a lot F2P years ago and it's my personal impression that F2P games are flooded with antisocial ppl. PK and KS and other sh!t is a normal behavior in some games, accepted or tolerated in many. Flame wars are frequent. The same kind of distant wars at the same level like those happen here about contribution value: petty-minded and infantile.
