Greetings from Lithuania, the country of pretty girls! (and delicious food)
If you ever feel like stuffing yourself with potatoes after a hard day of gaming, try making traditional lithuanian dish called "CEPELINAI". In english it translates to something like "Potato dumplings with mushroom sauce & bacon".
What your are going to need is 400g potatoes (NOT THE SWEET ONES), 1 large egg, 1 shallot, 250g pork mince, 1/2 tsp ground caraway seeds, 1 garlic clove, 1 tbsp plain flour. And believe me, your friends won't be able to say NO to this. Another good reason to try making this is to fatten your mates before the Apocalypse so that you could run faster from the zombies leaving them TO THE HOOORDE. wink wink
Here is a picture of cepelinai:

Nah! Its easy. Just think it is like chemistry. Try things out. I did the same. The strange things are the most delicious ( mostly xD ).
Tomorrow i gonna try to make some burger but instead of meat i gonna use big mushrooms filled with cheese :D Hopefully it works xD

Greetings from Norway. Bacalao is Kristiansund's main dish. We have a yearly festival week, where there is a competition to make the best bacalao and the festival is otherwise sharing new bacalao recipes and celebrating your history as a trading town and the "klippfisk" trade. Kristiansund had about 70% of the "klippfisk" world trade. A few years ago there was excitement since with scans there was found an almost intact galleon, but it turned out it was one of the converted tradeships that was sunk?(the crew letting water flow in and sink it) a few decades ago.
Here is a simple recipe in english: http://www.norway-hei.com/bacalao-cod-recipe.html

Edited: Bacalao is a sort of mixed dish with atleast salted fish and a sauce that gets a completely unique flavor.

Few meals i like eating from Serbia. I know some are made around exYu and Balkans, but everyone is making them their own way :)
Ćevapi - grilled ground meat sticks
Sarma - sour cabbage leaves, ground meat, rice and seasonings
Pita sa sirom - cheese pie, made from rolling phyllo dough and white cheese
Štrudla sa makom - dough with poppy seeds, some people add raisins as well
