This is actually good for PS3 gamers because it will mean all multiplatforms games should be stronger. ;D

I'm hyped, Sony always does lots of new IPs every gen, so it should be very interesting. Also anyone else gonna watch the stream?

UPDATE: PS4 was announced, was pretty good meeting.

Sooo... Did they announced any giant enemy crabs being fought in ancient Japan with real time weapon change for MASSIVE DAMAGE, or was the announcement written by someone with brain this time? :P

I disappointed, because they didn't repace their controller with the opossum, which was the most logical step for them to take.

Only time I buy anything for my consoles is if it's super cheap, I trade games in for it or it's an exclusive. Other than that I stick to my beautiful PC. Didn't bat an eyelid at the PS4 announcement. However I was slightly amused when someone from Sony was quoted as calling it a 'Supercharged PC'....

Only two things that interested me will be out for PS3 too, the whole thing was severely underwhelming to me...

I liked it very very much! Especially the games Deep Down and Watch Dogs (of course ;)) and the possibility of PS4 streaming to PS Vita. I have Vita and I think it will be an awesome feature! The nextgen is coming! Yeeeeeah!!!

Would probably be extremely easy to emulate with little more than a compatibility layer after bypassing security. Makes me a happy panda.

I'll probably look at it in a couple of years, once the developers have matured enough to take full use of the consoles potential (which in theory is pretty good for the current times) and the price is not that high.

The control seems.....interesting, i have nothing against its shape, nor have seen the features of the touchscreen embedded, i just hope they've managed to get a better grip, more responsive buttons and more comfortable use overall (specially when it comes to using the X,squre, circle and triangle, even with my big hands, my right thumb didn't enjoy that motion as much).

As for the Xbox....i really don't know what to expect, considering the release of W8 and the always on DRM, i'm waiting for the worse (launch problems, restrictions due to the lack of internet, some useless integration with M$ software perhaps), i'm no fanboy, my last console was a PS2, i've used both PS3 and 360 extensively, but only prefer the Ps3 based on exclusive titles, it's just a wide speculation.

It was underwhelming, although I actually like the sharing/streaming bits. I enjoyed watching gamers go "IF I WANTED TO BE SOCIAL I WOULDN'T BE PLAYING VIDEO GAMES" and then try to resume the typical "WHY DO THEY STEREOTYPE US AS ANTISOCIAL? :(" act.

Face it "gamers": Video games aren't your sweaty secret club anymore. Deal with it and feel free to find solace in games with more substance, but the Call of Duties and the Facebook integration are here to stay a while.

I hope the next Xbox is solar powered- Not solar powered with a reserve battery that charges, but you literally have to be in the sun for it to stay on. At a park or something.
