The half-life games are my favorite games ever created.. And I want hl3 sooooo bad...Idk wtf is wrong with them, hl3 would be the biggest seller out there.grrrr, just makes me mad lol....

It's not even really confirmed, nor is there a release date. It could be in development hell for the next 10 years for all we know.

I don't mind. I am yet to win (and play) HL2 and HL2:E2. I only have E1 :)

I'd rather play L4D3 and find out what happened to survivors, than have HL3 published now. Before you jump my throat, remember that HL games should bring revolution to their genre. There's nothing revolutionary to be had right now, and you can't force progress if the technology is not ready. On the other hand, L4D3 is only several linear maps in progression, so you need no new technology, revolutionary new ideas or stuff like that, without which HL3 would be a disappointment.

I would like to justify L4D3 coming out before HL3.

HL3 most likely didn't begin production until the new Source Engine was finalized. So HL3 probably didn't start being made until recently(past year or sooner).

What do you think is easier to make? A game about zombies that has simple character development, FPS elements, and only has about 4-8 "levels" OR a game that has a long story line, consists of numerous voice actors and has to maintain the level design of its prequels?

I bet the Left 4 Dead team has an easier job than the Half Life team. I doubt Half Life 3 has been in development for the past 6 or so years, so I don't know why everyone is complaining. Just think about the situation at hand, do you honestly believe Valve would start making one of their primary games with a new engine on the horizon? I doubt it, they most likely waited THEN started development.
