I don't even know why I even bother getting excited about new games when I won't even be able to afford it.
Not even any regional pricing. 70$ price for a game to buy from South Asia region that doesn't even its own store currency. lol.
As a comparison, the most I have spent in a single game in 10$ after discount.
Now just to clarify, I ain't saying the base price has to be like 20$ or something. But if it were something like 40-50$ in my region, there is somewhat slight chance of me being to able to buy it after 3-4 years after its release. Now with 70$ price, by the time I can afford it, there is going to be like final fantasy 25.

don't worry new games are not all that important just play what you have and enjoy some of them - i never have or will (maybe for hush hush not played the demo yet) but that is said to be £20 on day 1 - you don't have to worry about not playing the latest brand new game and rem ember price is no sign of quality a game for a buck or two could be much more of a enjoyable time for someone than a $40 or $50 game is.... Never compare your account to other people's as you have no idea what money they have to spend or if they spend it on games when maybe they should spend it else where

I you're strapped for cash unnecessary luxuries like games should be the least of your worries that's common sense. Making goods not affordable for lower income regions is symptomatic for our global inequality and will only result in more illicit activity.
There's an ever growing free option on Steam. Each day around ten new free games are released on Steam and although I'd qualify most of them as trash still there are gems amid the rubble if you take a closer look.
Besides it's more exciting to discover something not being played by everybody and their dog because it's hyped by dishonest reviewers and influencers.

The thing I find interesting is, Epic pre-purchase was $70, people complained and it dropped down to $40 or $50. Steam releases it 6 months later and it's back up to $70 yet people are saying it's a "justifiable" price.
This is $70 for a part 1 of 3 games, that means it'll be $210 total. On Epic with discount + coupon it dropped to $25 or something, this is absurd.
Square hardly ever does any regional pricing. Octopath is another example of absurd high price ($60 USD), BUT it at least has somewhat of a regional pricing.

[Edit] Sorry clarified the GMG deal a little better.
