Does it say that somewhere? Otherwise don't understand why they would since it's free to use or at least the transfer fees are so small it hardly matters compared to what PayPal or credit card companies steal from you. Like couple cents vs couple %. At least haven't personally noticed anything because the prices are so small anyways and the exchange rates between ruble<->euro<->bitcoin WebMoney uses might be slightly different than other places.
And it's as complicated as your attitude is, just like most everything in the computer world. If you can use PayPal, you can use bitcoins without any difficulty. :)

I just checked my last purchase, there was a fee for paying with btc around 40 cents on 1,2$ worth bundle from Steamground. Bought a few times from them - there was fee every time 35+ cents.
On the other side, when I m buying from Groupees with btc (bought a few bundles there also), there is no fee at all.

Ok, only bought with bitcoins so didn't have anything to compare to and like I said, they use Russian currency as a base and everything else is based on that with random exchange rates. I tried looking up how WebMoney works but that only gave me a headache so bitcoins it is. WM being the one that takes the payment fees also I think.

no, if anything most vendors prefer bitcoin due to less fees on the sellers end as well.
for example the Better than Bundles thread Dig store, Exosyphen accepts $1 minimum topup on bitcoin, but $5 minimum on paypal. he explains in there a couple times how much cheaper bitcoin rates are.
edit: as far as difficulty it's pretty simple to load $ onto a bitcoin account as well as make purchases or transfer to another person, but the hardest & pain in the ass part is trying to convert the bitcoins back to regular currency (minimum transfer amounts and i believe larger fees for this). i've never had the need to do it, but that's the part i think is hardest for most.

Not like you have to sell them ever if you buy when needed and just leave whatever is left for next purchases. Using some exchange site it's quite easy to sell them and withdraw money to bank account, but the fees for that usually are higher, that's true.

oh yeah, i totally agree as a customer. but i can see that would be why some merchants decide not to bother with doing bitcoin is due to those minimum transaction amounts and higher fees to withdraw the funds from bitcoins. but for those that accept it already there typically haven't been fees of any kind since there aren't really any on those fund exchanges anyways. not sure why there are on this site, probably just so they can afford the withdraw fees easier.

Ah, that explains it. It's a good security measure unless you really need to do the purchase (i.e. when a price glitch occurs or it's a limited availability offer).
The verified by Visa check should be done with each payment, at least it's what happens with my card (I receive a code via SMS to verify every payment). It also seems the logical thing to do, and it's (almost) inexpensive for them to do that check.
That system is a bit strange, too. Even if your card has the "Verified by Visa" extra security check, there are still websites that will happily take your basic card information (card number, expiration date, CVV) and pass the payment. These are becoming scarce, but they are the main target for scammers, since they are the only sites online where they can use leaked /stolen data from credit cards.

Yeah, me, too. The bundles are so temporary that they are not the point, but having a list of what is available in the build-a-bundle would be useful. Maybe we could even come up with a standard way to compensate people like you who help others by buying games for them. I personally wouldn't mind paying DIG or HRK prices for some of these games, because many of them aren't available otherwise.

From what I've seen so far, most games get restocked though, but indeed they also keep adding new stuff continuously (e.g. today I bought Last Answer, Numberline and Sandstorm, all never bundled before! ^^). Finding them inside the huge list is the biggest problem I guess. xD

Oh, I didn't notice that... I guess the threads aren't bumped when you modify a comment on them (or the main post).
Ok, I won't be able to work on it so much this week but I'm definitely going to make a thread for the wholesale, if you can post the updates there as comments (so the thread is bumped with every change).

Is anyone crating charts for the ongoing STG bundles and changes?
The first OP chart is nice, but there has been 3-4 bundles offered that I've noticed.
And no current updating of them. :/
(How hard is it to make/generate a chart?
If it's easy enough to do and not hassle, I'll do the updates as I notice them).

:)
I didn't scroll up that far.
When I refer to this thread now, I usually read the last page, which didn't list the last 3 posts for me... heh.
Anyways, since your the OP author (thanks, btw)...
What is it your wanting to do?
If your willing to point me in the direction of a chart tutorial, perhaps I can help.

This was my first chart also, so can't help you really out on that one. I know from Sighery and others that there are tools to help you with making a chart, but I didn't use it myself, but made it manual with the following format:
GAME | RATINGS | CARDS | BUNDLED | RETAIL PRICE
- | - | - | - | -
[NAME](http://store.steampowered.com/app/[APPID]/) | _XX% of X Reviews_ | [❤](http://www.steamcardexchange.net/index.php?gamepage-appid-[APPID]) | X | X.XX€
[NAME](http://store.steampowered.com/app/[APPID]/) | _XX% of X Reviews_ | [❤](http://www.steamcardexchange.net/index.php?gamepage-appid-[APPID]) | X | X.XX€
Which displays as:
GAME | RATINGS | CARDS | BUNDLED | RETAIL PRICE |
---|---|---|---|---|
NAME | XX% of X Reviews | ❤ | X | X.XX€ |
NAME | XX% of X Reviews | ❤ | X | X.XX€ |
Be warned it's a lot of work ;)

Tyvm.
I just posted at Sighery in the RaChart thread and asked for a guide.
Hopefully he will mention the tools.
I vaguely remember reading a reference to them a few weeks back, but can't seem to locate the info now. :/
I'm wanting to also know how much work it is and if I need coding/scripting skills. See if it is worth the learning curve, to me. :)

Is anyone creating charts for the ongoing STG bundles and changes?
That's the problem, the bundles are NOT ongoing and they change too quickly and frequently.
The main issue is that the bundles at this site don't last very long, so it would be mostly wasted work to make charts for them. As soon as the chart was ready, the bundle would most likely end. You're of course free to make an attempt, but the return on time investment isn't very good. The more sustainable possibiity is to make a big chart for the build-a-bundle, which contains all the games they carry, and then just post a notice about a new bundle, where people can use the big chart to see if they already own the games. This would reduce the labor involved significantly.
Once again, make a single big chart and only post bundle announcements as addendums, as individual smaller charts would become obsolete too quickly and waste time.

I can create a SGT Make a bundle thread (SGT Store) if people want :)

As far as I know no one has actually started with making the chart, so please be my guest! :)
Tracking them will also be more easy, as they just wrote this message on the wholesale page:
You can track all the changes in this section in our News. We write what games have been added/removed there. You can also subscribe to our RSS there.

STG Bundle [SOLD-OUT]
30 games for $1.44
See attached screenshot how it should look in the store.
Heads-up
Although the original bundle is sold out, other bundles are coming available every time but with low stock. Sometimes the STG bundle also shows up again, but with modified bundle content. Be sure to double check the game list of the bundle! Notice on the website:
Depending on your payment provider, some extra costs might apply. For me the final price via PayPal was $1.94.
Heard about this store via this giveaway and bought this bundle. Thought I'd share it with you! They also sell another "Cards" bundle, if anyone wants to make a chart for that one, feel free to. ;) This is my first chart by the way, please bare with me if there are any mistakes (also respect for the people making these things, I've found it's quite some work!).
