It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas
I always find that "it's for charity" line to be utter BS anyway. If people want to donate to charity, they would do it without looking for something in return, and I am almost certain pretty much everybody only signed up to Humble Bundle because of the amazing deals on games. Saying "it's for charity" is just a way for people to feel good about themselves.
I'm happy for some of my money to go to charities, but that was never the reason why I signed up to Humble Bundle. It was the cheap bundles and sales that did it.

Yeah I agree.
I was like that before IGN anyway. Humble's part was to find games and make bundles that people wanted to buy and some of they money we gave for the games was going to charities. Their job is to make a bundle people want to buy.
And by the way, all of our money they donate on our behalf is tax deductible so it's not as if it wasn't working for them too.
I just find that since it's for charity, it's a bit distasteful that the last bundle (and from the looks of it already, this one too) included so much DLC for games that were not in the bundle. I mean... you're here, buy the game, you know you want to. They get some PR out of it, they get 100% tax deductible money, they shouldn't be looking for a payday on top of that.

I bought it. I don't have a lot of spare cash. I saw "Stand up to Cancer" in the charity list and sent most of my donation there because my family have had to cope with it more than once. I don't really care about the games, just wanted to give something towards fighting this awful disease... and especially since it's Christmas month.

You can choose the charity... anyway, chemo fucked up my dad's quality of life. I personally think the cancer he had was a bullshit ruse and I know he would have been better off having not gotten any treatment. I've known too many people who's supposed only option was chemo.
What are charities doing to STOP this? It's not cancer we should be fighting in many instances...

No seriously, your response was out of left field, especially toward someone else who just said their family has been touched by cancer numerous times. You have no idea what me or my family are going through right now, so why would you make such a post toward me. I sympathise with your family's experience with that hospital, (and you should sue if that's the case. It's sounds like a hospital issue, not a research issue) but that doesn't give you the right to come after me because I donated to a cancer charity. My reasons for doing so are important to me. All I ask is for a bit of tact.
EDIT: Maybe you didn't mean to come across that way, but trust me, it upset me. I don't want to go into specific details, but this Christmas it has touched my family yet again. Anyway, I have no desire to argue about any of this, it is too raw. I didn't expect someone to actually chastise someone for a donation.
(Oh and whoever those were who blacklisted me for being upset and making this post are total dingus'... sorry).

No worries. It's just a very touchy subject for me these days because someone very close to me is going though it all right now.

I hope your family will win the cancer. Keep being strong and i hope everything will get better.

I already own everything in this bundle, except the COD stuff.

No I don't play COD except the zombie modes. Thanks anyway.

I have never been interested in this. What they offer every year just isn't ever tempting enough. At this time of the year, there are always a ton of sales, so I save my money for those instead.

I bought it for charity because my computer needs to be repaired. I hope for good luck.

But regular bundles got that too.
Then again default 100% probably benefits from the many who wouldn't modify the sliders each time.
(Also, we got choice now and it's "only" 1.5x that ;))
Also the biggest heat-raising always came (and will come) from limited quality games. I remember last year one dev provided like 500 keys (on 10,000 bundles) and that really caused quite the shitshow.

bought for the same reason i do every year -- i like that it all goes to charity and it's fun for me to see what gets revealed each day

Dreadlands has a beta signup here, https://playdreadlands.com/ not sure if they still give out keys or how many they gave out.
When I saw it in my keys list, I assumed it was a full game and not Humble trolling with some deactivating beta key.

Does anyone know what the CoD MW Animated Calling Card do? I thought the Veteran's DLC gives you a watch in game - is this what this is for?

It is my most played stealth game (140 hours) so I recommend it and the 1 DLC to anyone who likes turn based strategy.
The hacking mechanics and stealth are often well balanced. Anything the game lacks in story length or depth it makes up for in replayability. Here is my review

wow this sucks. tbh I'm OK with one of the games being a beta: there are already three games revealed this day, having one beta is just a bonus. But having the beta end on December 31 means that many people buying the bundle might not even have time to test it, it's a bad decision.

Invisible, Inc. is an excellent day 2 addition for those who don't own it already. It's inexpensive in sales ($5 or so), OTOH undoubtedly a great game if a turn-based stealth'em up slash infiltration roguelike sounds like something you would dig.
PS: worth remembering this is a charity event, so devs don't get paid a penny.

I just built a new PC, I really can't afford to pay for that.

i'm not seeing anything i want here so i'll hold back my wallet for now. maybe later but i doubt it.

I love charities but many of their CEOS tend to end up with deep pockets because they could pocket some of the money and you never know or even higher ups in the chain, that's why I rarely donate to charity anymore after I gave so much in the past because I don't wanna line the pockets of people who don't even need the money unless of course I know all the ins and outs of the charity.

FYI, there are some places on the web to research charities -- here are just a couple:

It took a bit of research, but I found a terrific charity.

It's important that Humble raises charity question this way. It doesn't even matter if you bought the bundle or not.
If someone doesn't feel like giving their money to Humble, this bundle will remind them to give money to their favorite/trustable organization. Or find one. Or it's maybe enough for this year just to think about it, one step at a time, after all.
I just don't like "Want to do charity? Go donate to normal organization/ directly" argument.
A lot of people do charity-theme events: musicians perform concerts and give all earned money to a charity of their choice, artists paint, yoga teachers hold classes, and so on.
And yes, people receive goods or emotions for their money, why is that bad thing? It unites people with good intentions.

There are a few reasons why I bought it.
It is a 3 x charity in my head as I will save money by not buying bundles in the future with the games that I will get here + it helps War Child + some people will get some games and DLCs from this as a GA.

Thank you for the super-quick updates, as usual, Shakti. BTW, the line above the table says, "more added EVERY DAY through December 25th" but it's only the 20th this time.

https://steamdb.info/sub/180637/apps/
where the rev 2 upgrade includes the app for GUILTY GEAR Xrd -REVELATOR- Deluxe + REV2 Deluxe (All DLCs included) All-in-One

Well... if the games were new, I would buy it. But I literally have all the games till today. So what's the deal, huh? Yogcast Rebundle? Nah.
